It's a shame he's publicly gone that way. Met him a few times over the years and he's always been a nice guy. A few people I know know him quite well too and say the same. What a player also. Still can't forgive him for doing the dirty on Marilyn from Home and Away though!

Had quite a surreal moment one night when was stood at a bar having a drink in Ikon nightclub in Southampton and suddenly drinking next to me were Le Tissier, Darren Gough and Ryan Sidebottom!

I cancelled my subscription last week,the call centre was I believe in Wales judging by the accent, the reasons I gave were nothing to do with these sackings (obviously) my reasons were the whole, taking the knee,anti semitism debacle, the call handler indicated that this was the reason for a lot of recent cancellations.
Why would you automatically assume all call centres are located on the sub continent? Who is the old racist you refer to? Do tell...

I think it was time, much that I have enjoyed them in the past. The formula is good and repeatable, find a myopic outspoken ex pro that we can enjoy see getting it wrong week after week and Stelling holding it all together.

The black population of the UK is approx 5% , so to have accurate representation that would mean only every one person in 20 should be black on tv .

The problem with this in my opinion is that the black community is in need of positive role models as much of what we hear about is gangs stabbing each other etc . The white community already has lots of positive role models .

So in summary I agree with the likes of Andy Naylor that we should have more black people on tv even if the panel on motd is 3 , it would be helpful if one is black as even though this is over representation, it is important to some young black kids watching that they see lots of positive role models when they turn on the tv .

This is not meant to be condescending and doesn’t apply to the majority of black people ( especially over 30’s ) who don’t necessarily need positive role models but plenty of the working class youths do .
