The Donald is loving this, more power to his campaign esp with Americans who can't find Europe on a map.

Scotland's first minister has said a second independence referendum is "highly likely" after the UK voted to leave the EU.

Nicola Sturgeon said it was "democratically unacceptable" that Scotland faced the prospect of being taken out of the EU against its will.

She said the Scottish government would begin preparing legislation to enable another independence vote.

If the SNP with 54 of the 59 Scottish MPs can convince Scots that the goalposts have now moved sufficiently, then it will be granted - and rightly so.

She can convince them all she likes. Doesn't mean one will happen if whoever if PM refuses it. Personally I think she will sit on it. She has an opportunity to make it very hard when negotiations come to the table about us leaving the EU as the Scotiah Parliment will have to be included. At this point if she creates a big fuss about Scotland being stung on the UK leaving the EU and Scotland being better off in it ect she is likely to be able to get the swing she needs for an independent Scotland and we are more likely to grant them another referendum just so it makes our exit all the easier

So either way Scotland leaves the UK

Brighton / Hove actually
No it won't. They had a chance and voted to remain part of the UK. Best they can hope for now would be to ask for another one in light of this. This does not have to be accepted. Even if it did happen and the had a referendum and they left there are no guarantees they would be accepted into the EU as an independent country.

If they want to adopt the Euro being accepted won't be a problem. Their choice will be to keep the Scottish pound or not.

If it wasn't for bloody Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club, I'd move somewhere else. The south of France would have been lovely.

We have put ourselves in the hands of Gove, Johnson and Farage. All we need to complete the set is Trump!

Scotland to gain independence

Lets hope so as they're a drain on the UK. We'd save billions in handouts and they are welcome to take in the 350,000 migrants instead of the 13,000 that moved to Scotland last year.

The UK has a real opportunity to solve ALL of its constitutional issues now. The EU is done. Will Scotland go? Probably, but I don't think it will be as clear cut as expected. But it's up to them. Wales has a greed with England and will remain united with us. Northern Ireland has a chance to either stay with the UK, join the Republic of Ireland, or go fully independent.

Fascinating stuff.
