Could've been worse though folks: here's a posting from North Stand Banter from one of todays happy visitors..

What a horrible day. Left at half time due to being soaked to the bone and freezing. Only place to hide from it was the bogs, but everyon else had that idea aswell. Missed most of the ''action'' but I was happier to be warm and dry. That place is a **cking shambles. Worst away day I can remember

Long johns, trousers, 3 layers under a heavy coat, woolly hat, bin liner over legs and £1 poncho on top. Lovely up until about 1/2 hour to go, then the damp patches started to appear and gradually spread. Mum, my 9yr old and his mate all similarly attired, but ended up same way.

Result = fairly soaked but happy as larry 'cos of the beautiful football we played today

Bunch of Northern ponces!! It was quite amusing seeing them stream out at half time.

I was double-hard in my jeans btw.

water proof trousers? I saw many a nerd today standing out there with them on... how many of you wore them or were you hard like me (or stupid) and wore jeans?

Doubt many people would ever think to invest in water proof trousers. And rightly so. You wouldn't do in any other scenario in your entire life, if you live in an alleged CITY, other than through following the Albion.

Bought a poncho today. So long since I last bought one, I wasted five minutes of my life outside the ground trying to find the non-existent arm-holes

Waterproof coat with very naff hood. Thinsulate wooly hat. Jeans.

Still v cold and wet by the end. But didn't care as I was warmed by the football we played and a fantastic win. Even stuck in the tomb-like atmosphere of A block.

Also glad to say I predicted a win earlier today and another goal for Johnson, so am allowing myself five minutes smugness. :afro:

And my Millwall supporting mate was suitably congratulatory via text afterwards. Having wisely not made the trip south.

Absolutely soaked through. Bought a poncho, but I was wet through already.

Me and Beach Hut huddled together for warmth (that's what he told me anyway).

There was a family of Millwall supporters on the train back to London and their young kid had only tracksuit bottoms and a Millwall shirt on.

I was frozen, god knows what the game was like for him. :(

Quite a few police waiting at London Bridge, but there couldn't have been more than 30 odd very very wet Millwall fans getting off the train.
