How do you reckon Gus has started?
I was a bit cynical at first i must admit. The whole appointing young managers thing has backfired for a lot of clubs- MK Dons for instance. So my logic was that if he does well, he'll be stolen by a bigger club, if he does badly, then that's obviously not good.
But I think he has done pretty well in his time here so far.
Just hoping it can continue, and that we can keep hold of him for as long as possible.
We've been playing some sexy football the majority of the time, and it's starting to look as if maybe, just maybe, we're getting the results to go with it.
This isn't an over-reaction to today's win at all, I'm just intrigued as to how everyone else rates Gus' time at the helm.

I am pleased, I see signs of definite improvement and that's all you can ask for after what he was left with...

He's also getting some of the not very good players playing better!

Feel exactly the same way.
He's clearly worked wonders for Murray, who actually looks as if he WANTS to play for us again, and that's been reflected in his current form.
Also, maybe giving Virgo the cold shoulder for a while has given him the kick up the arse he needed.

When you take into account the fact that he has next to no time to train with them on a full size grass pitch. Due to match congestion and the weather.
If he continues improvement at this rate, anything is possible. :clap2:

Not been too impressed, but we're slowly beginning see signs of improvement. Southampton aside, it's the games where we've been clear underdogs that our approach has been a bit negative for my liking. That said, we've picked up a cracking little result today.

Just need to sort out a proper left winger I think. Early signs are that dropping Virgo might have given him the kick up the arse needed to ensure him and Elphick are more solid at the back again, as they were at the end of last season.

Would like to see us play more attacking football at home though, and then I think our results would improve as a result.

Pretty good so far, we've only lost to top of the table teams. Let's see where we are by Easter.

Southampton A- Great performance + win
Leeds H - Bad performance but was V Leeds , Poyet tactics questionable
Norwich A - No improvement
Charlton H - Better performance but still not much improvement
Exeter A - Workman like , improvement there
Colchester H - Very good performance other than start , Poyet starting to make mark
Swindon A - Continued to do well just unlucky again
Orient H - Shit performance , one where we should of expected more , clean sheet so improvement maybe ?
Wycombe A - Poyet gets credit for half time team talk - things on Up
Walsall A - Cracking win with his new signings

Overall based on that you'd have to say there is an upward curve in how things have gone so far. I thought the football we played under slade at times was good so don't think Poyet can take all the credit for turning that side round.

Great opportunity for us though with Stockport A then Millwall H next.

Poyet doing average to well and decent base to kick on.

Hopefully few more faces to come.

Well considering he was asked to hammer in nails with a screwdriver, he's done all he could. If he can put the right tools in his belt, he'll then be able to do the job he's come to do.

What I hope is that he can create a team that he'll want to stay managing, at a club he'll feel integral as a part of. At this present time I imagine he's looking at this number as a bit of an uphill slog, and the outlook is perhaps a little bleak compared to the other places he's been.

The changes his management is supposed to bring are only just starting to come, so give him time and wish him 'power to his elbow'. It appears the players are getting a little more belief, and some previously-less-than-content here, are now enjoying things a little more.

Therefore I couldn't vote, as none of the above apply.

Purchases in the market look good, has the team playing attractive football, high profile victories as well as ability to grind out away games. Frankly if poyet gets given the cheque book over the summer and we continue pushing for the rest of this season, i dont see why a few strong additions in key positions couldnt see us pushing for a play off next season as is.

I think he's getting there gradually with the side, but I don't agree with his tactics and I don't agree we needed new full backs. I'm still not his biggest fan, but that's irrelevant because he is doing a good job so far, overall.

Bit of a strange one we seem to play well in 20 minute periods during a game and need to get some consistency. Has made some dodgy tactical decisions but think we are improving and he in turn is learning. Will reserve judgment for a while yet but think it will come good

I think that says it all really.

However I will say more. We look stronger defensively, that is not say strong defensively, just stronger.
Some of the passing moves we have put together under Poyet have been the best for years, Swindon for Forsters goal, today in the first half, Wycombe for most of the second half.
Overall he seems to be improving us game by game, bar the odd set back like Orient at home.
His transfer dealings are up for debate, seeing as we have only seen three of his players so far. Two of those only today too, however both full backs played better than anything we have seen in those positions this season.

Has been an average start. Has potential though and with one or two more signings could get us to mid table ready to kick on next season

Excellent start away to the Saints, then a few poor results but its now 3 wins in a row which gives us great momentum. Gus also seemes to know what he's doing in the transfer Market with some good signings. Would be nice though to see a quality centre-back join, a forth striker and a Left Winger.
