So Gus asked to leave the club in March!

Haven't quite grasped the nature of humility with that one.

OK, worded wrong.

The man was not in any way humble, often making noises in the media about managing a Big club and as has been said tonight by Tony Bloom, a man I will always feel humble towards, he tryed to leave while under a contract.

I have zero respect for him as a person.

Laughed when I heard the question, was expecting no comment due to legal reasons.

...I can't get my head around the idea that a manager who wanted to resign on March 13th was allowed to stay until May 15th. That's just mental.

like so much else thats occured in this saga, thats quite ordinary in the world of work outside football. typicall 3 mth notice for senior roles and you'd expect that to be worked for most. one assumes the person is going to act professionally, after all they still have a vested interest in success. we finished 3 places higher over that, so it seems it was the right decision, and we were 90 minutes away from this being considered a stroke of genuis.

Will MOTD or Sky Sports use journalistic integrity and ask Poyet to clarify whether what he supposedly told Bloom in March is true? I don't think so!

I suspect Bloom is chomping at the bit to get the truth out, but at the same time has to maintain his dignity and avoid stooping into a slagging match. Nice to know we got true pro's running this club at the top.

LOL...erm...not quite the truth ...if we had taken our chances in the first half at selhurst the home leg would have been a tad more comfy....but tis history...new season starts saturday!!

I disagree, the home game we won 3-0 we played two wingers and palace couldn't cope. They were good going forward but suspect at the back, i was pro Gus, but questioned this on the night, after tonight his heart was never truly in it.

Wasn't March when his house was first put on the market?

It's not answered anything in particular for me. If Gus just wanted out he should have resigned / taken the Reading job. If he had a specific job in mind surely they'd have waited till the end of the season. Either way we'd have got compo. No one's played a blinder here.

hmm...its a fair point you have....although what works in one game doesnt necessarily follow it will the next...for me i think we lost that affair by not taking our chances in the first leg

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
I see the Bloom brown nosers are out in force again.

I thought the first thing all BHA fans learnt from bitter experience was to never trust the owner.
