How was it a great last 10 minutes? It didn't change the result. All it offered was some scant consolation to those that see a narrow defeat as more acceptable than a larger deficit. It didn't hide the mistakes and inadequacies that had gifted a moderate opposition three points. All it did was serve to add to the frustration of the previous 85 minutes when we dominated for long periods, created chances and then decided to chuck it all away..
You can try and justify that staying to the end somehow makes you superior to those that left early but the fact is that a great number of fans had seen enough when the third went in. They are paying a lot of money to watch seasoned professionals make schoolboy errors and continue to place our club in grave danger. Some of our players are playing their hearts out, others are not. We have a good manager who is being let down.
It is the choice of the individual at what time they leave a game of football. It shouldn't matter to anyone else. If 20,000 walk out at 85 minutes its their choice and an indication that things are not right and they are unhappy. One poster said that a couple walked out at 62 minutes when the second went in. Seems to me they were good judges. Clearly they don't like seeing their team lose and they could sense the way the game was going.
The majority of those that left early will not be losing any sleep that they missed ' a great ' last ten minutes. They had already had a gutful of frustration in the previous 85 minutes. They will look in the media and still see that we lost 2-3. Most of these fans go the Amex to see BHA win. They have only seen three home wins all season and are not getting any value for money. Is it any wonder, on a bitterly cold day, that once more their patience was tested to the limit and was finally broken when we gifted three points to a very average side.

Couldn't agree more.

Why people get so upset with early leavers is pathetic. What's it got to do with them?? Like it's any of their business.......loool. It's hilarious to read IMO

We finally got the stadium of our dreams and we've had a succession of shite management, over the odds ticket prices, closed club shops, shocking standards of food, fan respect, "customer" care, awful starting decisions, poor player purchasing, shite food, shite beer with shite staff training and we are clearly going down. I'm surprised we aren't ripping the seats out tbh and you're pissing and moaning about early leavers. Open your effing eyes.

The thing that annoys me about our fans is as soon as we are losing, they get on the back of the referee. Every game!! Yesterday there was a blatant dive by one of our players, cant remember who now, in the Forest penalty area by the Northstand and everyone was appealing for a penalty !!!! And booing the ref afterwards. It was an embarrassment that we even appealed for it. Were we desperate or are our fans watching a different game. This and the slow clap is all some fans seem to come for

Agree 100% probably what annoys me the most....Pathetic cheating wimpy footballers,Diving, trying to con Ref, and almost comical bias of fans.......In Rugby the reverse..serious injuries and players desperate to stay on....

As it happened I left after their third goal but I really did need the toilet.

In related matters, people who don't stand up to let you past when you arrive in good time for the start of the match annoy me.

I'm not trying to justify being superior to anyone, in fact I'm more than happy to say that I'm nowhere near being a super fan, I don't do aways whereas there are an awful lot of people who go to almost every Brighton game and hence are obvioulsy more dedicated than I.

But my original post was not even about those who leave early, it was questioning those who seem to go to find fault and almost get off on it when they see something go wrong.

So just for the record,
NO I don't think I am better than anyone else. And the last 10 minute were probably some of the best in the game for excitement, so yes those early leavers did mis something. However it was their free choice to make

Very much this. I would have celebrated long and hard had we scored an equaliser that thousands of fans who had better things to do would have missed. Although I reserve a special place in hell for the couple who thought the moment we won a corner in the 90th minute was the moment they had to leave. Why on earth would you choose this moment?

Blimey this much be pandemic as I had exactly the blee*ing same by three total di*k splashes who got up to leave and moved along at a snails pace watching the game and I missed a goal. Why !

It was the people who reacted to the third Forest goal, by immediately deciding to go home, who really got my goat. I can only take pleasure in the fact that they missed nine minutes of genuinely entertaining football, enhanced with an encouragingly decent Albion goal by a debutant.

Well said. It really annoyed me too. At least we saw Kayal's goal, unlike those who saw fit to leave!

Why did fans leaving annoy you? I can see your point if an early leaver obstructed your view of the goal.
Losing again annoyed me.

It wasn't just one fan leaving in front of me, obstructing my view, it was lots!

No not me but so many of the total morons who come to games and seem to actually revel when things don't go well.

Biggest example today ... some total f I n g dumb nut sitting WSL block F and I would guess circa Central of row O or P who, when Kayal came on and his first touch of the ball was not the best it could have been, let out almost a cry of glee .. honest I could not believe it, just how bleed in g bad is it?

But the same tw at almost wet himself with excitement and leapt around like a demented idiot when he scored !

Just why do these dickheads bother coming to a match? I'm becoming more convinced that they actually want to see us fail.

just F off, stay at home, and don't bother coming. Go and support some premiership team via means of looking At them on a TV screen.

And if by chance it was you, and you are reading this thread I hope you are so very proud of yourself, you are a D I C K
Not brave enough to say it to his face though eh?
