today it will not top 2C and fall to freezing so most of the snow should hang around today, it will all be gone by tomorrow afternoon. A good days sledging and snowballing

Rubbish day. After the Arundel Park 10K was cancelled drove from Arundel to Orpington in a mini van - only cut out 5 times. Hurrah for WD40.

And now the snow is melting.

Had to leave the thick snowy climes of Hedge End at 9am to head off to Eastleigh for a game of kids football where the snow fall was absolutely ZILCH! Now the bloody sun has come out and we cant make an even bigger snowman than Hiney

I can second that- i live 5 minutes from eastleigh and there isnt any snow at all here :(

Still, the garden could do with a bit of snow, eh?

Great pix, THPP. Love the bike, and the snowman sitting on the bench. Or was it a homeless person got caught out?

At least you got to see the snow down there - was melting already in Leicester when we got up at 8am.

Still Somewhere in Sussex!
Quite a few roads closed off now! Buses that are replcaing trains in Hastings are struggling to get through! Average speed on some Sussex roads now down to 5mph or less

And they call it global warming :thud:!!

Great pictures, THPP.

The dog, who has never seen falling snow in his two and a half years of life was rather taken aback to see what had happened in between me letting him out at 7.45 and him waking up after a morning's snooze:

His initial response was to go straight back to the sitting room but was "persuaded" otherwise. And then was a real Gurlie about things...

Mine was also a snow virgin until today. Had fun catching balls that melted in her mouth!
