For those of you who like a flutter here's the latest odds:

R O'Sullivan 3/1
M Selby 6/1
J Higgins 9/1
S Murphy 9/1
S Maguire 9/1
Ding Junhui 10/1
N Robertson 16/1
K Doherty 25/1
M Fu 25/1
S Hendry 25/1
M Allen 33/1
P Ebdon 33/1
G Dott 40/1
J Cope 40/1
M Williams 40/1
M Stevens 40/1
R Day 40/1
A Carter 66/1
J Perry 80/1
S Lee 80/1
B Hawkins 100/1
S Bingham 100/1
A Hamilton 125/1
Liang Wen Bo 125/1
J Swail 150/1
M Judge 200/1
D Harold 250/1
Liu Chuang 250/1
M Davis 250/1
M King 250/1
S Davis 250/1
N Bond 300/1

The value has to lie with Peter Ebdon who despite a dissapointing season to date always seem to bring his best to the Crucible Theatre and excels in the longer format at the Worlds. Another who perhaps is worth an each way shout is Steven Lee outstanding value at 80-1, arguably the finest action in the entire game.

I have to disagree, I think the value is Ebdon's first round opponent, Jamie Cope at 40/1, that has to be THE tie of the round...

Mark Selby will be thereabouts as his 6/1 price suggests and he should confirm his most improved player tag...

And here's to local lad Mark Davis, a 250/1 shot!

Doherty looks reasonable value at 25/1. He's looked quite good this season and he tends to perform best in the longer frame tournaments.

Live on British Eurosport as we speak, the legend that is Stephen Hendy against newcomer Mark Allen. A sheer privelige watching a genius such as Stephen Hendry on the green baize.

Peter Ebdon is colour blind FACT.

Funnily enough I actually play snooker with someone who is partially colour blind. He always needs me to tell him the difference between red and brown :lolol:

Evening session begins in 15 minutes and Steven Lee has it all to do against Joe Swail, 7-2 down.

If Lee can come back it promises to be a thrilling evening of high quality snooker, so far the Championships have not dissapointed.

I like snooker as much (no, probably more) than the average bloke - but are you working for 888.com?

A match between Stephen Lee and anyone can not be described as 'thrilling'. A good workout for the big man, perhaps. Or two hours between pies. But not in any way spellbinding.

:D I'd like to hear crodonilson's take on this morning's encounter between six-times world champion Steve Davis and the darling of Basildon Stuart Bingham. I think the highest break was when Bingham cleared up from the blue in frame 3 - absorbing...

St Leonards' Mark Davis enters the fray today. Good Old Sussex by the Sea - do they let you sing that at the Crucible?

Avoiding the obvious joke i'll just pioint out that Mark Williams is also colour blind.

Personally i would rather watch paint dry though.
