I was firmly in the in camp until yesterday, i went to the game at Tranmere, we were the better team in my opinion i thought their first goal was offside (clearly so did our defence judging by the protests), their number 8 should have been sent offfor deliberate handball which prevented a clear goalscoring opportunity, their goalie should also have been sent off, Murrays first yellow was harsh as he was only protecting his face, his second was silly but even then he was being fouled all in all the ref cost us at least a draw and if we had drawn would we still be having this debate on the back of a three match unbeaten run
However i have moved to the fence because although we were the better team, i think we could have played another 90 minutes and wouldnt have scored from open play. Slades tactics completely baffled me, he started with Thornhill (a central midfielder) on the left this didnt work as Thornhill kept coming to far into the middle. At half time i thought Slade had seen the obvious, he brought Cox on for Thornhill, hooray a player who CAN play wide, and put him behind the front two which meant that Jake Wright (not a natural left back) had no protection in front of him. Eventually Bennett switched to the left and gave him that protection but then Hoyte looked woefully exposed. Did Slade notice this? If he did he did nothing about it. Did he move Cox out to one of the wide spots? did he f***. Then at two nil down, i thought ok well now we need to chase this game bring on Dickinson and lets throw everything at them after all they were 2-0 up but they really werent very good. I kept looking towards our bench for the reaction but nothing, Slade was just stood their with one leg up on the wall, elbow on knee, chin in hand and doing nothing. Murray eventually made his mind up for him of course but by then it was too late and down to 10 men the options were gone.
So im on the fence now, im not yet ready to say i want him out but if i heard this week on SSN that he has been sacked, would i give a shit...... NO.

For what it's worth, I would wager nobody who supports the Manager at the moment is gonna be happy playing in L2 next season(!), but I (for one) think it's too early for TB to be issuing the P45's. If the side continue to display such erratic (ie shite) form & the results don't improve over the coming weeks, Bloom will undoubtedly strike: but I'd be suprised if he doesn't give it 'til near Crimbo (unless we get absolutely annihilated or lose a few on the bounce). Ultimately, it's up to the players to get their bleedin' act together - but RS will certainly pay the price for their & (to an extent) his own inadequacies.

I do believe there's time to turn things around, but the clock is undoubtably ticking - as it is for everyone in the football fanagement game. 'Ardest game in the world n all that..
