Brighton factually.....
I said it at the end of the season and I stand by it.

Slade was a MIRACLE worker last season. He did a great job getting the players motivated and working for the cause.
QUOTE]

Rome was not built in a day and slade should be given time to build the squad and ideas as he said. Its far too early to be calling for his head or saying he cant do the job. We need satbility :D

However Gritt saved us and then what happened........... ???

But I would NOT have given him the job.

Not that I am calling for his head after one game mind...

Who would you have given the job to then?

I don't know who was in the frame.

I just am not convinced he has the tactical nous to take us forward and motivating players to the same level as our end of season run in for an entire season will be hard.

Not exactly been blown away by signings either.

Tactically and whatever, time will tell. With regard to signings, I think anyone expecting us to suddenly start flashing money around like it was going out of fashion was being a bit naive. I was impressed by Dickinson and the other new signings all showed glimpses. I don't think we can expect a whole lot more than that at this early stage.

Dickinson had about TWO shots.

which he had to create for himself as he was getting pretty much no service. We could have had Cherno Samba upfront and he wouldnt have had more shots

I believe in him, yes he was missing in the first half, but he came alive after that shot from miles out and looked a threat

not every striker is influencial for a whole game, normally they dont do anything apart from score goals

Murray and Forster both showed more in their short time on the pitch than Dickinson.

Still, he was better than Crofts.

Please can Gary Dicker play next game.

I didn't see anything from Murray except a desperate foul.

Like others I have to disagree with your first point.

Dickinson looked good, held the ball up well and showed some nice touches and a lot of pace. In the first half he was too isolated hence the switch to 4-4-2 at half time. He'll come good and we'll be fine.

Yep Dickinson showed some great pace in the second half - looks promising.

Murray did nothing and even managed to look completely disengaged for the 10 mins he was on for. He doesn't want to be at the club and the sooner we get rid of him, the better.
