Fot the last months any criticism of Slade and the resukts Acker trooted out this 5 game mantra which was always at best , dubious. We can now see as you pointed out we are NOT improving so Acker may have to try another formula to show some signs of improvement.

In fact the last 9 games in all competitions has shown

1 win
3 draws
5 defeats

11 for
15 against

In fairness to me:

It wasn't "any criticism" it was the specific argument that there had been "no improvement." After ten games there had been improvement.

If the argument came up now, I would say there is a general upwards trend, but recent results have put it into a bit of a fall, but points per game average is higher than it was early this season, though still not good enough. However, performances were on the most part encouraging.

As I pointed out when someone asked why 5 games, it was simply the easiest way to divide the games we'd played at that point.
