Looks like Dembele to spurs is off. Fulham wanted a loan back deal. Wonder if Boro could go back for mccormack as fulham need the cash

Rhodes has got greedy and that puts Blackburn in a very difficult position. If a deal can't be done, then he stays at Blackburn til the end of the season and then is free to go to another club and get a massive signing on fee. Blackburn get nothing. This just shows his lack of ambition and bowing to the financial demands of his agents. I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.

Hes got another 3 and a half years on his contract, why would he be free in the summer?

Blackburn had players waiting to sign that they cant now afford

Oh yes indeed. I have reason to believe that they are McGeady of Everton and one of the Bolton lads that Blackburn are trying desperately to sign (can't remember the name right this instant)and they're currently holed up in a Blackburn hotel whilst the whole deals with them hang in the balance due to the Rhodes deal cocking up.

And there's more than that affected. For starters rumour has it Kike was due to leave us as he was wanted by Wolves and a fee had been agreed. Now with the Rhodes situation that's been put on hold as we will need the strikers we have if JR isn't coming. Then there's the situation at Huddersfield. They were due to receive a decent fee from the Rhodes transfer due to sell-on clauses, so they have deals in the pipeline and players on their way for medicals to thrash out in the last 24 hours that are relying on that money. Again all put on hold and will fall through if the Rhodes deal doesn't dramatically resurface.

And these are just the ones I have heard of. Apparently I've heard someone on our board mention something about it affecting Ipswich in some way? God knows what other deals it will scupper in the process.

The domino affect chaps, alive and well.

Imagine the Bolton guy is Zac Clough.

If it involves a Bolton player, probably Clough, and it doesn't go through, then it could drive Bolton into administration. Maybe gives us a chance to get him,

Looks like Jordan Rhodes is too extravagent even for Boro. Not for the Albion either.

Or maybe, as it's the second time the deal has fallen through, he just doesn't want to go to Boro unless they're prepared to pay stupid money. If perhaps this is the case then if he gets a move to a more favoured club then he would lower his wage demands.

Huddersfield sold him to Blackburn for more than £8m. You're offering £9m up front. Their sell on % will only apply to profit, so they won't be getting anything out of this, unless your add-ones kick in later.
