Starmer wholeheartedly supporting the genocide taking place right now might be (should be) considered a big problem by some voters but not enough to stop him getting elected.
You are, as always, remarkably selective in what you protest about

Don't think the Mail is a key reason. He has been supportive of Israel and it's war crimes since the start. He is supportive of whatever Israel does as it's politically advantageous (aligns with US policy) and the Labour front bench and also a number of leading members including Starmer are in Labour Friends of Israel and receive funding from them.

Don't buy that Starmer is doing anything on the basis of aligning with US policy. He's trying to get elected at the moment, not trying to govern.

The over-riding reason in my view that Starmer has been supportive of Israel is that he's desperate to distance himself from Corbyn. He knows association with him is the way to electoral ruin.

Wow. That's awful. No doubt there will be plenty who don't see that as anti-Semitism.

Honestly, with some people, it seems they just can't resist taking a pop at Jews at any opportunity, rather like a bloke in Italy in the 1970s just couldn't resist pinching women's arses. They do it because they can. Or think they can.

There is another reason. That, despite everything, despite Bibi, Israel has a right to exist and there are those in the region who want all the Jews in the sea. As was demonstrated when Hamas triggered the present crisis.

Sunak has a problem in his party too. If the tabloids weren't so partisan, their London Mayoral candidate would be front page news as well.
Not just the tabloids either. Sky News this very morning had Lord Mann on (who's written several reports on antisemitism in British politics) and he said "of course it's not just Labour, but we're also seeing antisemitism incidents in other parties too" at which point Kay Burley interjected with "that's as maybe but we're only focusing on the Labour party".

No, Kay. Antisemitism is bad whether they're Labour, Tory, Lib Dem, Reform, SNP or indeed any other party.

You might not buy it but decades of UK following the US in every political position will prove that it's the case. We are the proverbial tail of the dog.

Even if we accept your rationale...that infers Starmer is happy to support Apartheid and genocide simply to get into power. Sort of shows the man he is...

Media witch hunt.

A couple of ill judged comments by some minor politicians hiding away in Brexity dung-holes like Rochdale does not even begin to compare with the party wide, institutional, corruption, we have seen with the Tory’s over 14 arduous years.

Unfortunately, many will fall for it. The gullible never learn.

Brighton factually.....
I do wonder how well Keir would deal with Trump, I doubt Trump would even give him the time of day.

Having said that he probably would give Rishi the cold shoulder as well but for different reason.

Starmer would treat him with the contempt a turd like Trump merits.

Of course the comments don't match what the Tories have done, but a Witch Hunt?

The guys suspended are scumbags, I'd quite like the Tories out, I'd also like Labour to kick these nobs out the party and people with those views nowhere near parliament.

I was replying to Borat, of course. Who you've probably wisely put on mute. I would but then there'd be barely anyone left to challenge his cynical, obsessive daily Antisemitism.
As you say, because he can

So many of you utterly silent on the afternoon of 7/10 now banging the genocide drum. All of you have one thing in common ……….
I don't think anyone feels that Hamas attack on Israel was acceptable. But they are a terrorist organisation, it is expected that they will use terror tactics. Israel is a democratic state, a nation we trade with, have diplomatic relations with, sell arms to, and to some extent share intelligence with.
Israeli forces should not be more indiscriminate than the terror group it says it is fighting.

There it is. Opposing Apartheid and genocide is "anti-semitism". Strange times

i think her riposte was fair. It’s a classic tactic for any politician in any party. When they’re in a difficult position, they try to deflect the pressure. In this case it doesn’t wash at all. The Israel / antisemitism issue has dogged Labour for a long time now and continues to do so with the events of this week. That’s presumably what the interview was about. I’ve no doubt that there have been ‘antisemitism incidents' in other parties even if I’ve not heard of any. But they weren’t the focus of this particular interview.

Big mouth prattish Labour man talks shit. It’s not going to save the Tories….. it’s only Labour picking themselves apart like two chickens in a small cage that can lose them next year’s election …. Rochdale electorate is 30 % Muslim.
30% of the population but still just 20% of the electorate ,
