It's another way of saying that he doesn't think Palace will finish in the bottom 3. To be fair, not a lot of us believe that too on here.
But I don't think they'll finish bottom 3 because they won't have to finish the season with their remaining fit players, just as they haven't had to get this far with those players.

But he should probably have just avoided mentioning specific teams, seeing as Palace have still got to play all 3 of them.
It was just nonsense, whether he named other teams or not. But as others have said, what else would you expect from that idiot.

He is joking surely, no one in their right mind would state that their squad is better than another squad fighting relegation.
That actually wouldn't be too bad, but it was far worse than that, he said that although they're missing a lot of their best players through injury, the reserves that are left are better than the clubs higher up the table. Just full bat shit crazy.

Interesting observation given that they had more players to choose from for the cup tie and still lost to our reserves.

Let's just hold off on commenting until after we've played their reserves - he might be right!

To be fair, he has a point.

They absolutely SHOULD have a better squad than us considering the amount they have spent and the prem experience they have in their team.

Just goes to show how well we are doing to out-perform these teams packed full of individual talent but no team cohesion

Sakho £26m
Ridewald £7m
Townsend £13m
Tomkins £10m
Benteke £27m
Milvojevic £12m
Schlupp £12m
Van Aarnholt £9m
Cabaye £10m
Wickham £7m

So yeah, if that's not better than our squad they have really ****ed up.

Well thats bull.. Zaha is the only palace player that would get in our side and that's only if Izquierdo gets injured.

On a serious note on paper they have a strong squad but I personally feel we are playing much better football at the moment and honestly wouldn't trade any of our players for any of theirs.

Especially as it won't be their reserves when we play them.

To be fair, he has a point.

They absolutely SHOULD have a better squad than us considering the amount they have spent and the prem experience they have in their team.

The comparison below (trying to match up our closest equivalent) doesn't reflect well on their performance.

Sakho £26m Duffy £3.5m (first choice centre back)
Ridewald £7m Goldson £0.5m? (young back up defender)
Townsend £13m Knockaert £2m (second most valuable winger after Zaha/Izquierdo)
Tomkins £10m Dunk - from academy (first choice centre back)
Benteke £27m Murray £3m (first choice 'big man up top')
Milvojevic £12m Stephens £1m (engine room)
Schlupp £12m Bong - free agent (first choice left back)
Van Aarnholt £9m Suttner £1.5m (second choice left back)
Cabaye £10m Gross £1.5m ('number ten')
Wickham £7m Hemed £1.5m (second choice 'big man up top')

For all our recent threads congratulating our recruitment team on their recent efforts, their Palace counterparts have been a bit of a shambles, in regards to spotting value.

Simon Jordan does make me laugh. He tries to talk posh and use long words but they are invariably wrong. Bit like Del Boy but not quite as funny.
