Wright-Phillips comes on to a chorus of monkey chants... f***ing Wankers... Why is Sven not taking the players off the f***ing stupid moron.

Bunch of f***ing c u n t s
It's absolutely disgraceful, every time they touch the ball. What would happen if Sven did take the lads off? Would we in turn be penalised?

I'd take our lads off with 10 mins to go - f*** getting fined or points deducted.

What a f***ing disgrace.

I hear monkey chants almost every week at games.

I work for a football club and we just last week submitted a complaint to the FA about rascist abuse from the stands (monkey chants and bananas), so to say you would not hear monkey chants in England is a little idealistic.

I disagree - there has been one recent incident of this Crewe away with BHAFC.

And would you expect this as a constant at a home England game ?

Disagree with what? That I hear monkey chants, disagree all you want. I hear them.

And yes the club I work for did just submit a complaint, about monkey chants/bananas thrown into the dugout.

And the part I quoted was "a professional match in England" I refuted that, because I have heard rascist chanting at pro football matches in this country.

I am not going to identify the club I work for.

At Crewe Alex v Leeds. At Preston V Leeds. At Scum V Leeds. At Newc v Leeds. At Spurts v Leeds. The list goes on.

To say there is no rascist chanting or abuse at pro games in this country is laughable, either that or you're living sheltered lives following Brighton.

I get the picture.

Seriously we had one individual acting a racialist arse at Crewe but otherwise nothing at BHAFC (however I am open to being corrected on this).

Haven't bothered reading all the posts on this thread because I am pretty sure that they are all the same.

This is the way I see it.........

You ingirlish give us Welshman the old sheepshagging shit and we give as much as we get. Thats it though (in general).

It's banter and most normal people will take it as that.

There is no need for this shit, no place for it....ANYWHERE in football, no....I mean ANYWHERE.

In a nutshell, it f***ing anoyed me and they need to be punished.

I still need a lift to Wrexham on Saturday by the way. Any space?

We've got to get everything straight. Tonight was despicable, it was the late 70s and 80s. Not 2004.

In the English game, racism still goes on, sadly, but NOTHING LIKE the old days. Spain are stuck in a time warp, they've learned nothing.

The last big incident of racism I remember involving the Albion was at Colchester away, years ago, when two (I think) lads started giving it "I'd rather be a Paki than a Turk" at one of Colchester's players. Within seconds, the blokes were shut up by the rest of the Albion crowd and I was proud to have witnessed that. We in England and at the Albion are moving on. Tonight was disgusting and, imho, incomparable to anything that goes on in the English game now.

At Wrexham you do get "I'd rather wear Turban than a rose" so we get racism here.

Calling us sheepshaggers is racism too but we're used to it and proud to be sheepshaggers!

I can admit to someone in my own sunday league team making a racial comment the other week. Immediatly all of my team apoligised to the other guy and his parents, their manager etc and the player was kicked out of the team.

Our manager has told us the FA take it so seriously our whole team could be kicked out of the league because of one player. Someone with the FA's stance on other things I can't see it. The worse thing is the idiot is appealing saying he did it in self defense!

I manage an Under 13s team and also manage the whole of our club we have U8s, U9s, U11s, U12s, U13s, U14s and U15s - 100 odd players.

In our league there have been some disgraceful incidents and thankfully the league now extend punishment when so severe to all age groups.

Thankfully, only once, have I had to totally bollock an age group (including parents) over their attitude including threatening to fold that team if things carried on as they were.

It was a clear message to me - surely UEFA / FIFA can do the same.

Then you are very fortunate, and I wish I could say the same.

I have to say this was done and dusted but surely the "obvious" club mentioned has had black players so why ?

What will UEFA or FIFA do? A slap on the wrist or equivalent?

They should deduct them World Cup points - something that would really hurt.

Disgraceful as it was, I suspect only a minority of the Spanish fans were involved. Personally, I think it would be unfair to the team and the rest of the fans, who weren't abusing the black players to take such action. However, just how it will be stamped out I don't know, I guess it never will, whatever the penalties are. It is a sad fact of life that there will always be people who think it is OK and even amusing, to abuse others, whether it is down to race, appearance, homophobia etc. All are equally despicable. Wayne Rooney throwing down his black arm band was also totally disrespectful, bearing in mind the reason why the players were wearing them.
