We've been very lucky that he loves it here.
Plenty of other players his age/level, would have been looking for mre starts and been off.
Agreed. Made me sad when he got so much abuse from our so called fans that he went off social media for a bit. One of the big voices in the dressing room the last few years as well

Made some terrific tackles to break up dangerous looking attacks, biggest credit you can pay him is we didn’t miss Dunk at all

Well this is nice:

"I was saying to my wife the other day that I love the fact I've been here for such a long time now," he said. "In football, it's not that common anymore. There are a few boys here that have been here for a while, but if you look at most clubs, then there aren't a lot of players.

"So I love that about this club. I love it here and I feel like we have got so much more to achieve together.

"Personally, I'm close to 150 appearances but I want to get a lot more than that. I obviously look at the likes of Lewis Dunk, who has made a lot of appearances here, and it is motivation for me.

"I want to try and achieve that."

Love that. Was great to see him get the arm band when Danny went off last night

Fantastic player! The dick brains who booed him when he was subbed away at Chelsea should be ashamed of themselves, Dunk Igor Hecke all make mistakes don't know why he got such childish abuse earlier this season, slotted seamlessly into the team after Igor\dunk absences, class player and where would we be without him? Hope he didn't think the majority of fans were of the same opinion cos it's not true, so solid and a brilliant reader of the game, take a bow Adam, hope you're part of the squad for many years to come.

I'll just add that for too many games, away games especially, I've heard 'fans' laying into Webster before he's even got on the pitch and willing him to screw up when on it. There was the West Ham game last Jan(?) when we had a dearth of defenders especially CBs and Webster was brought back in too early. He received hurls of abuse any time the ball went near him. But despite being unfit (he was subbed off after about 75 minutes), he put a real shift in, defending intelligently, and we kept a clean sheet.
Outstanding servant.

My seat neighbour has been down on Webster for some time, and was before the game though he conceded his recent performances had been good.
So apart from the general joy of the match I got to point out every single contribution he made.
When he got the armband I suggested my neighbour needed to atone for his doubt by getting Webster on his next shirt. I don't think he will but he did agree he might have to.
