Outstanding performance for Webster tonight.

Some of his first time passes were exceptional. He looked more relaxed on the ball. Another one I hope we have a place for beyond the end of the season.
Probably helps that, for the first time in a while, he doesn't have sections of fans on his back whenever he has the ball.

They were all at home watching The Voice

When he was brought on last night I didn’t do my usual “uh oh”. Credit where it’s due, he’s been super solid when called upon recently.
We really are….

I’d be starting him over Dunk at the moment, mainly because he communicates better. (Dunky may be injured anyway unfortunately).

Class is permanent.

I thought he was excellent when he came on. He moves the ball quicker than Dunk and also strides forward with it more, creating more space. Whereas Dunk mainly goes side to side not really moving.

This will be the third time I have posted this in the last year:
(whisper it)....we look better when Dunk is not on the pitch.

Dunk went to hospital after game last night. No idea why but maybe a just a precautionary check? The only reason I know is bumped into a mate who is in one of the South Stand lounges where Dunky had some friends/relatives last night. After the game a club official came down to tell them.

FH said he was going to have a scan.

It was that 20/21 summer transfer window that really changed us. We almost went down in our second season, and then brought in Webster, Trossard, Maupay, and Mooy, who all became important players for us and really accelerated us.

He’s been a massive part of our team since he joined. Seems a good guy as well.

It was his ribs he had an issue with, so I'm guessing he was off for an x-ray.

We are lucky to have him, takes a few games after injury to get up to speed and he’s a bit of a sick note but as a squad player he’s absolutely fine.
That old chestnut. He'll need to play a few more games to get up to speed then. Luckily we just about coped despite it being his first game in a while.

I don't think it's incorrect. Had webby stayed injury free in his time with us I think we'd be talking about him as one of our finest ever defenders.

Might be completely unrelated but there was an ambulance outside the North Stand (near the players' entrance) after the game, and they had screens up to block the view of the doors. Which I presumed was a standard measure to preserve the dignity of whichever random fan was in it, but I guess it could also have been for Dunk.

Whoever it was: I hope they're OK.

Did Dunk collide with the post? That was the impression we had at the game, but maybe we missed something on TV.

I think we all forgot how good he can be. Such a shame he’s made of glass because he really is a very good central defender. Would be amazing if he had a Welbeck like end to his career because actually he’d solve the Dunk dilemma for a season or two.
