Shouldn't we be concerned?

How about Barabbas? I've heard he's free.

The only thing to be concerned about is it's only the 14th June. That means there's still 78 days before the transfer deadline. That means 78 more days of this tiresome crap.

There isn't a big enough this for this comment. At this time of year it's probably best to avoid club specific football forums because they are completely tedious but but but I keep coming back

While the whole transfer saga is tedious I do have just one reservation.

With Gus being linked with every job going has Bloom thought let's see who is running the side before splashing the cash. I'm sure I read on NSC that Gus wanted all deals done by the end of June for pre season fixtures so the clock is ticking.

Maybe I am way off the mark, just a thought.

What's to be concerned about?... We've got Barnes, Painter, Dicker, Harley etc...

Not quite sure why you're including someone who top scored from a DEFENSIVE left wing position in your sarcastic snidey little list there...

I'm guessing that not much will happen until the big boys have made their moves and then we get the pickings from who's left and who didn't get the deal they wanted and we have a chnace on a loan player. Personally I think Gus is planning to use his transfer budget on loanee wages.

The majority of footballers are on holiday at the moment or their contracts expire at the end of this month. Plenty of time left until the new season.

What is the point in loanees? They bring no sell on Value and use us as a Shop window... Quality is key here in the long term if we are to do well. Gp knows that, it is going to cost..but until we start making some noises in the transfer market we really have NO idea how much we have to spend...

Not concerned yet ... more bothered about the potential for a rubbish set of accounts and that limiting our potential. Hardly anything has really started yet in market

Several players who came on loan then became permanent. Zamora, Painter, Barnes, & LuaLua for starters. Loanees can be very useful especially if they're surplus Prem players.

Not really worrying about signings yet,it's still early season but I'm concerned about holding on to assets in letting Murray go for nothing after paying £300,000 for him and letting Hall from the development squad being able to sign for anybody due to not extending his contract...you can bet he will be sold for a big profit from anybody who takes him on...it's in our history I suppose,we let Dean Saunders go cheap, yes I know we needed the money...£60,000 was cheap seeing he was sold on for £1m.

I agree re Hall... surely we should have seen the current situation coming, and addressed the issue many months ago?

Gus doesn't like short-term loans... season-long or similar maybe, but not in the close season... he is definitely looking for perm signings at this time of year...
