ALL football should kick off at 3.00pm on Saturdays and we should revert to the original type match of the day on a Saturday evening. TV has ruined football as a spectator sport.

No!

The atmosphere is all about how the team is playing. We played so bloody well in the first half that there would have been a great atmosphere whatever the kick-off time.

Tonight was excellent because we played really well, won 3-0 and it was a lovely warm late summer evening. Not because it was Friday night.

Had it been freezing cold, pissing it down with rain and we'd managed to bore everyone silly on the way to a 0-1 defeat I guess there wouldn't be quite so much enthusiasm for Friday night football.

Do we have to stop women and the non working classes going, move children to the front over our heads, drink Bovril and all wear caps to matches?

I like Friday night football, but it won't happen because it isn't the clubs that choose when to play, but a combination of the FA and SKY television.

Tranmere used to play alot on Friday evenings so as not to clash with Everton and Liverpool, but I don't think we'll ever have that problem unless Hove Park Colts and Queens Park Jaguars improve a bit.
