I am not desperate for it. Just that given what previous awards were for he has clearly passed that mark. Unless you want to strip people of them and restart the award then he is clearly suitable for one.
I agree, he's 100% suitable IMO.
But some will genuinely disagree based on their dislike of his sport (I was there when one of the most respected sports journalists in the country called it "sponsored traffic") and some will not warm to a bloke who has a bit a bellendry in his history. It's not right to fight ingrained prejudice and intolerance with prejudices of your own.
