I'm quite pleased it has been called off. I have a cold and I couldn't face sitting in this downpour. It is wet, wet, wet in Withdean.

So am I, we would have got soaked.

Ok so next time there is localised flooding in the deepest depth of Cornwall we should abandon games at withdean in case a BHA fan lives there.

what do you mean "in case"? Of course the weather down here should be taken into account!

Seriously, though, I don't think anything should be taken into account other than if the pitch is playable and the seats can be used. I don't expect someone else to decide for me if I should travel to a game or not. I've had the entire week dealing with doomsday predictions about others' travel plans, but the bottom line is that you can generally get where you plan to go if you really want to.

One more shitty Withdean drenching we've avoided. Hoorah! Reckon any STH+3'er should be made to endure at least a couple of those as a minumum qualification to queue jump.

Whether the match was played on an icerink or a boggy pitch it would not provide decent entertainment and could have resulted in injuries which could seriously affect our promotion chances, add to that the chance of a good soaking its a better option to go Christmas shopping.

If the pitch inspection had been done this morning and then the game called off , the club would have had to pay reasonable incurred costs (travel , food and accommodation) to the visiting club.
