Moving to sunny Shoreham this year from BN1. Need to get away from the noise, litter, student neighbours, lack of parking, thieves, vandals, graffiti artists, druggies, chavs.

Can't f***ing wait!!!

Haven't really been to Shoreham much since my mum moved to Mileoak a few years back. Do remember seeing some posts on here a while back by someone who was the manager of the convenience store by the station - it may not be as idyllic as you're expecting.

For those wanting to see a rare event the Adur Footbridge will be opened tomorrow (19.02) at 12:15 hrs to let through I assume a couple of house boats.

This rarely happens these days so get down and look if you want.

Aaah - that's the bridge I used to fish for crabs when I was a young'un. Conveniently located next to the road where the crabs would run the gauntlett soon after capture.

Even at my most advanced stage of life I never realised that it could be opened. When was the last time that it was approx 10 years ago, 20 years I dont know does anybody.

What's going on THERE? ???

Those people are "shrimping" - you push the big net horizontal to incoming waves and catch shrimps, boil them and eat them - yummy as well.

Me and my Dad used to do that at Bexhill.
