Shoreham-by-Sea - Adur Footbridge

For those wanting to see a rare event the Adur Footbridge will be opened tomorrow (19.02) at 12:15 hrs to let through I assume a couple of house boats.

This rarely happens these days so get down and look if you want.

It really is a very rare event these days

I can't. I think there's a steamtrain coming through tomorrow afternoon, so I'm going to stand on Fishersgate Bridge.

talking about shoreham for a moment, anyone know what that boat fire was all about this afternoon?
around 2-3 this afternoon between east & west arm about a mile out.
could see loads of smoke as i drove past and police down by the lighthouse. assume the lifeboats had already gone out?

Yes motor launch caught fire and was abandoned, thankfully all six people saved by fishing boat and RNLI.
