Indeed, and now national and EU politicians in Europe who have long disregarded their citizens interests and safety in preference for the interests of foreigners are rapidly changing tack regarding national border controls.

I note the Guardian is reporting this evening that the end of Schengen at today's EU meeting is nigh, which is a profound change to the ideals of the EU. Makes a mockery of the claims from some about protecting the European way of life.

The mask is slipping, the end of this vast vanity project is underway and it may well be one positive we can all take out from this tragic affair.

It's a sad reality of life these days that seismic change never seen seems to happen until people are dead.........politicians have a lot to answer for.

Too true. It's a bloody shambles. Enough of us have been saying for long enough that this is what would happen but the hand wringers wouldn't have it. And to think, 6 months ago there was a growing clamour to let those camped at Calais in, regardless of who they are.

Fvcking joke.

Yes, just a couple of months ago many on here were vilified for suggesting that the open borders, many refugees being migrants, many "refugees" being ISIS radicals as warned, the UK not doing enough though sensibly helping genuine refugees near the border, how great Germany was for letting in thousands of "refugees", how countries with a large Muslim population like France were asking for trouble.........it was all propaganda and more to many on here. Fast forward a couple of months eh.

Brussels now virtually in lock down on high terror alert, Metro shut till Sunday afternoon and foreign office warning if going there do not hang around in crowded places.

It is a very bleak world at present.

None of the terrorists in Paris were refugees. They were citizens of Belgium and France.

Brilliant post

Really......... In a separate development, French prosecutors said that a second suicide bomber from the Stade de France attack passed through Greece on his way to France.

The prosecutors had previously said one of the other attackers had come on the same route, via the Greek island of Leros. The men may have been posing as Syrian refugees.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-34885606

It is also alleged, and pictures online that the "woman" suicide bomber was also a man dressed in the burka, you know the attire that unlike crash helmets can be worn in all places.

The Syrian passport is now believed to be stolen or a fake: http://www.nytimes.com/live/paris-a...yrian-passport-reportedly-was-stolen-or-fake/

Wake up, you have had a couple of months now to see what some of us envisaged, yet still you shove your fingers in your ears and your hands over your eyes.

Why not deal with facts, the passport is now believed to be stolen or fake. The terrorists that have been identified were all either French or Belgian nationals.

Facts??

Earlier in the week, Turkey arrested eight people in Istanbul airport who had arrived from Casablanca, Morocco. They were detained by police and flagged as suspected militants. They said they had arrived for a holiday.

Officials have said that at least two of the Paris attackers passed through Turkey.

So, none of the people are arrested in Turkey were refugees. The Paris attackers were EU nationals, one of whom seems to have been carrying fake ID: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/wor...s-attack-what-we-know-about-the-suspects.html

Belgian police discovered a cache of weapons and explosives on Friday night when they raided a property in the Vandepeerboom Street area of Molenbeek, Brussels, according to a report in*La Capitale.

The Belgian paper reports that a large arsenal of weapons and ammunition was discovered, as well as explosives. At this stage it is not known whether the raid led to any arrests.

The discovery of the arsenal could be the reason for the heightened terror alert in the Belgian capital today.

Two of the Paris terrorists recently entered Europe via the Greek island of Leros posing as refugees according to the French authorities. I cannot find any info on their nationalities. The refugee/migrant crisis and Europe's porous borders are unsurprisingly being exploited by extremists which is why numerous new restrictions are finally being introduced.

You are wasting your breathe JC, this poster along with many others was championing and defending the mass immigration a couple of months ago, the open borders etc, the propaganda that terrorists would be among those migrants and refugees. Fast forward a couple of months and suddenly we have terrorists attacks, but it still nothing to do with the mass influx in Europe etc.
Thankfully the countries have woken up, talked and pledged allegiances, looked at border controls, unlike some on this board that saw no problem.

Several of these paris attackers were on watchlists, does it not occur to you that they used these fake ID's to come in as refugees thus circumventing any pre planned surveillance should they make their way back to France via a normal route ? In this context your smug assertions that they were french and belgian citizens are meaningless, all it has done has exposed how vulnerable we are to infiltration by ISIS operatives disguised as refugees, in short take your head out of your arse.

Ah I see. I thought they hadn't read all the information about the attackers.

As previously stated by others what a ********* disgrace that it takes numerous bodybags to get governments to act in countering these obvious security risks.
