Shannon stepfather in porn arrest

Bozza, some of the reports say he had 170 images. That's a bit more than just one or two sites but I agree, it probably was a bit of late-night shuffling going on.

I wonder how many people on here have lightspeed images on their machines for example and how many wouldn't want the police to find them.

Fair enough - 170 images is more than just a bit of misguided browsing - I haven't followed the reporting that closely.

I feel I'm going to regret asking this. Lightspeed?

I see the Uncle has tried to kill himself in prison - its all getting very strange, are they actually just golddiggers trying to get money after seeing the lottery the McCanns have won

I guess we're all getting very cynical - that was my thought too.

Allegedly, the computer was kept in the front room and was used by all and sundry in the neighbourhood. Note that I say "allegedly" because it's very difficult to accidentally download 170 dodgy images without anyone noticing.

However, none of the family look as if they'd score very highly on an "Adequacy" scale and I'm not convinced that when the investigation is completed it's going to conclude there's a carefully planned scam.

What with various members of the family being arrested and charged with things like 'Conspiring to pervert the course of justice' etc, I do wonder if the whole family were conspiring to re-create some sort of McCann-esque plot, ie...

1. Hide a child.
2. Get in front of the media being all sad about a missing child.
3. Expect lots of cash to come their way.

It does sound like the step-father/porn thing is nothing more than a side-story to the main 'abduction' thing.

thats how ive seen it ever since the documentry. id heard the suggestion before and that program seemed to comfirm it, there a lack of fear for safty and well being.

8. thats what i heard on Radio 4 on the morning of the arrest, i cant remember exactly who said it but it may have been a police spokesman. 8 images considered to be indecent enough for the CPS to think they had a case. we know how some parts of th media like to inflate and exaggerate, 170 could be the total number of pornographic pictures found. I still find it unlikly that a family computer would be used for hardcore peado surfing.

If i seem to be defending the stepdad its only because i hope the girl has been unharmed and only involved in nothing more than a hoax. seems some parts of the media almost want the story to be about abuse, and too many people seem wiling to jump on the bandwagon.

It was reported on sky's website that they claimed there was only "x" amount in their fund while the McCanns got over £1m. Alarm bells started to ring with me at that stage.

In the height of the enquiry they were also seen coming out of a supermarket each carrying a crate of beer. Not the kind of thing you would expect some parents do to when their daughter is missing or is it - maybe you have to drink to make it easier to cope. ?????????

Is it true that since Shannon was "found" and all the people arrested that Social Services had to move them out of their house because all of their neighbours had complained about the way they had deceived all of them - and no doubt because of the porn episode.

Lightspeed - a popular website for the left-handed web surfer. They're all legal age models on there though so you can browse that without fear of having to move to Cambodia and growing a goatee.

My fave on that site is Dirty Aly. Although she's no-where near as dirty as some of the other girls on there.

Apparently.

This is, essentially, EXACTLY what has gone on.

According to all the gossip I've heard from various fellow journos, anyway.

Watchin the boats go by
I know that they whole family are CLEARLY retarded and thick a 2 very short planks but i'd be intrigued as to how they thought they'd be able to make her suddenly re-appear again without anyone getting arrested? :dunce:

The bloke doesn't appear to be the sharpest fella around. It's probably a case of him looking for some late night porn action one night and stumbled onto one or two dodgy sites and hurriedly closed his browser. Unfortunately, that was too late, and some questionable material was left in the dark recesses of his hard drive.

Don't think you get arrested for a "mistake" like that, it just wouldn't stack up in court.

He would have to have multiple searches and material on that PC for the Police to have a case. Anyone knows Pete Townsend e-mail address, he did a lot of research into the matter!
