I think perhaps a more useful judgement on McFaul is perhaps the management didn't expect us to get so close to the playoffs, so anticipated they could have a chance to try out new things to get a head start on next season. Not necessarily a lack of ambition but a plan B for experimentation towards the end.

The fact we did alright throughout March meant that when we got new recruits in, they had to be of a good standard.

Are you really suggesting Dean Wilkins signed him on the basis that he was going to be BETTER than our, at the time finding form midfield?

From seeing him in the stiffs he isnt 'SHIT' or 'AWFUL' but he has work to do! Why dont you like, get behind the team? Instead of being the constant troll you seem to be recently!

Your only young, masturbation, try it.

The time McFaul was signed we had no Racon or Westlake. He could of made one of them positions his own.

I went into Tesco's last night, the checkout team were not bad, not quite up to Sainsbury's or Morrisons, but with a bit of luck and good management could be next year.

However, that Irish chap they employed on minimum wage who works out the back somewhere is total shit, why they employed him I'll never know, total waste of money, especially as they have recently give short term contracts to these M&S and Spar blokes who have been checkout staff for a few years already and are quite good at it.

Havent actually seen that new chap yet though, but he must be total shit cos he hasn't be let loose on the checkouts yet, I real wish they would sack him.

This is another ridiculous NSC thread having a go at a player we have hardly seen. It would not surprise me if we did not intend to play McFaul much and had always intended to see him in training and the reserves. It may be they have turned up a gem and he could still be given a new contract based on his performance on the training ground. If he goes, he would not have cost much so what have we lost?

Being a SUPERFAN, I HAVE actually seen the mythical beast known as McFaul play a full 90 minutes.

He wasn't shit.

Lots of running around - certainly don't think fitness is an issue. His first touch needs a lot of work though. Kind of like a midfield Chris McPhee.

WEll worth the cheap gamble though, even if it doesn't work out for him.

He was signed because DK foolishly spouted off about 5 new players...

I swear Pitcher must have the record for the amount of times he was loaned on while at Brighton, I think there were about 6 spells!

Pitcher was gone so long that everybody completely forgot he was still signed to us. The few who did ever contemplate the name must have assumed he died of natural causes at some point. Still at least he was a genuine Albion legend. On account of his ears, whose shape was an exact replica of the handles of the FA Cup
