A 500 mile round trip to watch the reserves is the reason why Russ hasn't seen McFaul play. Obviously he was brought in as cover for possible injuries to the first team squad and hasn't made the mark. Some you win , some you lose - a bit like a Uncle Spielberg nailed on certainty racing tip.

I thought geoff pitcher played ok when given a chance, the mystery to me was why he was never picked.

i remember one game when he looked pretty good on a tuesday night at withdean - stoke maybe? he looked like he might get a run under in the team under adams - then he left and never got the chance under taylor

RM Taylor, have you actually seen McFaul play?

Might sound childish this but, have you seen him play ???

He's obviously viewed by the management not good enough to make the first-team so is therefore only playing in the reserves until his contract expires.

If he was good enough he would of played by now, given the chance to get a new longer contract, but he hasn't.

All I have seen of him is the 10 or so minutes he has played for the first team, so on the basis of that I think it is too early to write him off. Yet you seem happy to do that without ever seeing him play.

However it is not the first time you have written players off this season, you have done it to Hart and Mayo, both of whom have then come back into the first team. I also remember you stating that Chamberlain was not good enough, again without seeing him play.

Granted everyone is entitled to opinions on players, but it would help if you have seen them play before you completely write them off.

You really have the intelligence of a retarded piglet.

Uncle Buck hasn't expressed an opinion of McFaul, so doesn't need to have seen him play to question the reasoning behind YOUR judgement of him!

If we was better than the experienced Racon and Thomson then he would have had a chance. But he isn't, and i don't think anyone expects him to be. As I said before, he certainly won't have the fitness either!

He's one for the future, even if he should prove to be worth a new deal. Loft earned a new contract last season but didn't play in meaningful end of season games. There is no reason why McFaul can't be the same. He MIGHT not be good, but to say he's "shit" without seeing him play is plain ludicrous.

I did actually admit that I was wrong about Mayo, thinking his days are numbered at the club. I still think Gary Hart will be off at the end of the season, having seen him this season, he just looks to slow for the standard of this division now.

I've written off Chamberlain, because from what I've heard Bognor signed him on loan for the rest of his contract which expires at the end of the season. It wasn't a short-term loan deal like with the majority of other youngsters we've loaned out this year, so this gives the impression that he'll be off. If he doesn't go and moves on to become a frequent player in the first-team then I will then once again take this back.

I could of seen McFaul play having been to 3 of the last 4 away trips, but he hasn't been involved. This suggests to me that he isn't good enough to acually be in the first-team, if he was then we wouldn't have needed to loan Westlake.

Or the fact that currently we could make the play offs means he is not featuring as we are getting results with the current preferred midfield.

As I say do not write him off yet and if you are going to have such dismissive views of players, it does help to have seen then play the odd time.

Now now, bit harsh that, just sticking up for myself here.

Why won't he have the fitness, he's been here since January and been playing in nearly all the reserve games since then. He must have a very shit fatigue if he's not fully fit by now.

Nobody can pass judgement on him because no-one has seen him play, because he hasn't played in the first-team. Like I keep saying surely this suggests something.

He hasn't played professionally in YEARS.
He hasn't had a full season.
He's played in about 5 reserve matches. Hardly a good substitute for League 1 football.

Nobody here can pass judgement, yet you declared he was "shit", as if it was fact. That suggests that you are a fool.

I don't know what the standard of football is like in the League of Ireland, surely it can't be that shocking that he isn't fully fit yet. How long does it take to get match fitness from the beginning of February, a month maximum I'd think, bar no injuries or anything. If he wasn't match-fit then he wouldn't have made the bench once or twice I think it was

The fact that he's played like 300 seconds of first-team football for the Albion would suggest that he's shit.

Are you really suggesting Dean Wilkins signed him on the basis that he was going to be BETTER than our, at the time finding form midfield?

From seeing him in the stiffs he isnt 'SHIT' or 'AWFUL' but he has work to do! Why dont you like, get behind the team? Instead of being the constant troll you seem to be recently!

Your only young, masturbation, try it.

McFaul is 21
The others are 18
The others are match-fit and gaining experience at local teams, well except from Chamberlain who's more than likely off in the summer, and of course Sullivan who's a sitting duck as Michel's under-study.
