When both teams are actually trying do we have a chance for real?

So the bookies have us at the same odds as taking a crap in the Queen's handbag - whilst she's holding it.

Question for the Gambling Stat people : When was the last time a team (pre-match prices) at 17/1 actually beat a team who were 1/8 ? If so, who - and when?

I'd imagine palace were longer odds when they beat City a couple of months ago.

Had a quick look through the odds on Bet365 and you can only get 12's on us there. A win for us on penalties seems a decent bet if you're optimistic enough to fancy us to go through at 33's.

The slider for the correct score goes as far as 9 for City, just the 3 for us!

I'm sat on a £10 EW @ 67-1 for us in the FA Cup put on back in the Summer, do it every year! I wish we'd drawn Watford!

I don't think 13/2 for the draw is particularly POOR value.

We could just GRIND our way to extra time.

Man City 1/8
Draw 13-2
Brighton 17-1:rave:
City to win and both teams to score is 5-2
Where do I get 17-1? William Hill is only offering 12-1.
17-1 might just tempt me to have a very small flutter - is a very high price for what is essentially a two horse race.

I'm basing it on the fact both Newport and Swansea scored against City, so we must have a shout of getting one!

Good point well made. Although I'm not sure City will be quite so lackadaisical when faced with a Premier league side, two wins from one leg of a possible quadruple.

There's your problem - William Hill are a shit bookie. Paddy Power/Betfair Sportsbook are offering 17/1. The draw is a best priced 7/1 at Unibet.

It's a cup game, so anything can happen. We've also knocked them out of two cup competitions in the past.

Having said that, I know nothing about bets and odds, so ignore me. :)

I’m waiting til the 88th minute when we’re 2-0 down, and they have taken off Aguero, Sterling and De Bruyne, before going LARGE at 150/1 to qualify.

Wigan were 25/1 to beat them in the cup 2 years ago.
