To an extent yeah. Although I think considering Hart has not been playing there long he had done a great job.

Oh, I completely agree. Harty has been excellent, all things considered.

I still wish we'd kept Jones though :(

I'd rather have kept Jones than Watson, definitely. Obviously McGhee let him go as he thought he would be able to get someone better in, which hasnt happened. Hopefully we will sign a new left back in the window, whether on loan or permanently.

In fairness to McGhee though, perhaps by releasing the likes of Jones, Watson etc he freed up wages for Fruity and Carole, which although it may have left the squad weaker in some areas has at least given us 2 great players.

Jones was always shocking at left back. McGhee was right to let him go. He was a ok left midfielder but we now have Frutos who is much better.

Reid is a better left back then Jones or Watto.

He should have given one of them a 3 month contract as a back up.

You would think that might have been the sensible option after losing/letting go three left footed defenders and not managing to bring in any.

I suppose there was always the chance that they might not have wanted to take such a short contract and preferred their chance elsewhere.

However you look at it though we have been left very bare in the rear department but with the ability to have virtually a whole subs bench of strikers.

Agreed. Its just a shame that he has to play there rather than on the right.
