Salmon farming in the UK is a truly appalling industry, from start to finish.
The only point you made which I disagree with is your assertion that farmed salmon don’t eat krill. They do and in industrial quantities albeit in processed form.

Well that's a new one on me ! Even if they are eating processed Krill its not that good for the environment. Their sales blurb says the Krill are caught in the South Atlantic and taken to a processing plant in Texas so although they say otherwise it is another carbon footprint. It is funny how they mention that farmed Salmon fed on their processed Krill have "firmer fillets " better colour and less fat in the flesh to enhance sales.
Who would have thought that feeding Salmon with what it would eat naturally makes for a healthier, better fish !...... I have been a sea angler for years and home smoke lots of my catch and a few times I have smoked my own shop bought Salmon, it's pretty poor stuff, the flesh is very soft and very oily it really does not compare to wild fish.
