There'll be a shortfall either way - either the tickets cost less or less people buy them. Better the club is seen to be doing something for its supporters.

So why didn't you ask it like that? or what are you prepared to pay for your season ticket next season?

talking about begging bowls and what they dare to charge isn't exactly talking the club up is it?

I have already paid for next year as I bought the Withdean Waiver which didn't work either :lolol::lolol:

I say every year i won't renew, but i know i will yet again. I doubt we'll see anything other than another price freeze though.

Even if we get relegated it's unrealistic to expect the club to drop prices while we continue to lose money. My bet is we'll go all out to be title challengers to get more people in if they fail to renew.

4,000 season ticket holders. £100 reduction each.

Not as simple as that though is it. Firstly we do not know what the costs and budgets are for next season. Price also affects demand. Etc etc.

Have you tried selling a spare ticket lately? Last week I couldn't give one away.

The club will no doubt need to be handing out the begging bowl very soon so I wonder what on earth they might dare to charge for what we have seen so far this season on the pitch.

Anyone like to suggest..................

They are not charging us for what we have seen so far this season, but for what we are going to see next season. I would think prices might stay the same, with perhaps an option to pay over a longer period of time.

Quite right, but there will be a certain level of support that will renew whatever division we are in (My son and I will) and the people who are already saying they are not going to renew won't whatever division we are in.Hopefully they will make it easier for those that do renew by extending the payment period. This might also entice some waiverers.

If the ticket prices stay the same, they need to get rid of the people making these decisions.

5-10% reduction minimum IMO, with a further 10% cashback if we get relegated.

I remember reading on Norwich's website, if they get relegated they will give all STH's who renew before March or so £100 cashback. Nice idea, and no wonder they have already had 18,000 renewals!

Yes lovely idea, but are they losing money every home game. I doubt it. I know the arguement that reducing prices will attract more people, but if they do reduce prices and people still don't renew they will be in an even worst situation then they are now.

It's a risk the club will have to take. I know it doesn't count for much, but two polls on here recently have both suggested that only 50% of people are definitely renewing next season, meaning some 2,000+ ticket holders (£500k+ in revenue) is still in the balance.

Get the price structure wrong and they stand to lose the majority of this revenue. In the current climate, I'm sure the club would rather see 4000 pay £300 for a season ticket, rather than 2000 paying £400 each.

I think the club really need to show some imagination and understanding when they set the season ticket prices for next year.

It's my view that Dick Knight has cost the club a lot of money this past year what with sacking Wilkins and Adams. I shouldn't be made to pay for someone else's mistakes.

Imagination is the word. I know Withdean doesn't allow for a lot of creativity when it comes to pricing, but they must be able to come up with SOMETHING to spark a bit of enthusiasm.

Last year's announcement about kids prices left me cold. I appreciate the sentiment, and the reasons for it, but once again, it gave a big fat two fingers to the people (adults) who've been forking out Championship and even Premier League prices over the past ten years for crap Withdean facilities and often mediocre football.

If the Albion were any type of business other than a football club, they'd have gone bust years ago.

Agree. Whilst I do not know the finer points of the finances of most clubs there have been numerous headline grabbing inventive schemes at other clubs and they all seem to put thousands of bums on seats. DK is supposed to be a creative type.

What about a free blue and white balaclava with each season purchased?

Trouble is if they make a huge reduction then what about those that have paid for next year already ?
