Anyone bailing out can't be a real fan.

I,m the same age as you.....and saw my first game about the same time as you........just because I,m not renewing my season ticket doesn,t make me not "a real fan".

LOL... no!
I've seen us play shite in many seasons... '91-'92 being the first really shite season I witnessed (I only saw part of 86'-'87 so it wouldn't be fair to comment!!!) but the current momentum of slagging off has clearly been building for the last 2 seasons...

In any case, i'll be back in the same seat for the next round of pain...
Good luck. I have an urge to go to another game, but I just know I cant afford it and if I do I will be disappointed in terms of performance, leaving me to abuse something to get something out of the afternoon.

exactly-wow imagine only two seasons worth of torture

To be fair to most people saying they're not renewing season tickets isn't people saying they're never going again, it seems that they will wish come and see the games, they just do not wish to buy a whole seasons worth in advance, that's all. At that price I don't blame them. Some people can't always attend every game too. Most of the non renewal people I know will still come to games, especially when you recall the fact that there have been seats on sale online up 'til half an hour before KO, a bit like the old days at the Goldstone. Then imagine if we a) get Falmer, b) start winning at home, and /or are c in the top six next season, the place will be full then. Or have i been jinking?

(I'll get my coat)

The last two home games have been a marketing disaster for season ticket renewals.

One thinks that Adam El-Abd should be made to apoligise.

I'd like to put in a bid for 95-96 as most shite season, though 97-98 was also dire.

Good point, although getting home from the Doncaster game to find the renewal form on my door mat wasn't the best of timing!

Well today,s performance and El Abd,s reaction at the end of the game (the straw that broke the camel,s back) is enough for me. I,m not renewing......neither is my son.

I'm not renewing along with my son so that £800 less for them..i will now take up the cheap offers when they come out

I'm going to renew again. Just this once. Then I'll knock it on the head. I know for a fact I'll miss one game in September, maybe two in January & probably another two or three on top of that over the course of the season. so that's a hundred notes down the drain as the tickets have little or no resale value. People change electricity companies for lesser savings. STH just makes less and less economic sense sadly.

I had a spare ticket for Saturday, the kids didn't want it, my friends didn't want it, I pm'd two people on here and they didn't want it. In the end I talked someone in the pub into taking it, but it was a struggle.

sorry Tom but I think this is the 1st time I've ever disagreed with you. I don't choose to be a STH on a value-for-money basis otherwise I'd support Chelsea
