Season ticket holders v Regular Away game fans

I don't agree that someone who goes to more away games should have anymore right to an away ticket than a STH who might go to less.

STH are the ones who end putting more money into the club, so therefore should have just as much right to an away ticket as anyone else. I'm not saying that STH's are better fans or anything for spending silly money to sit in a dump of a ground. But they help keep the club ticking over so shouldn't be treated anyless as fans on away games.

STH's also don't get any priority over AMS members, so i can't see how anyone can complain that first come first served isn't a fair system.

And before you ask, no i haven't got a ticket for the Spurs game. Simple bad luck on my case, no point bitching about it.

This type of discussion is getting a tad old in my opion. I am not currently a s/t holder as now a "mature" student in Bristol. However, even when I was I didn't believe I was owed any greater right than pure AMS members - get your application in early and you get a ticket - simple.

Non-s/t ticket holders are NEVER treated better than s/t holders so what's the point of this post unless you're just a tad slow at sortin yourself out?

Maybe i wasn't clear enough sorry, but my point is that alot of people who have missed out are trying to say they've been treated unfairly by the club. When it's more like a failure to send the application in quick enough, or the post being f***ed up. And that some people seem to think people who attend more away deserve first choice on tickets.

All fans of BHAFC should be treated equally.

Why do people insist on saying that if you get your application in early enough you will get a ticket.

If everyone put their application in by the deadline and demand exceeds supply then you will not be guaranteed a ticket.

The majority of regular away fans are season ticket holders, but obviously there are some that aren't.

And in any case, [for almost every game] there are more season ticket holders than away tickets on sale.

ST holders would definitely win in a fight with the away fans. We might be older, more cranky and have more woolly hats, but weight of numbers would eventually tell.

True.

15,000 AMS members and 5000 season ticket holders so still not enough to go round.

At least £100,000 worth.

THerefore Season tickets should get priority and some will not get tickets to some games. Well that is the case for nearly all clubs.

I do feel that Brighton does not really give any priority or any positive favours to its season tickets holders. Who guarantee the club 5,000 seats every home game.

Priority for away games - especially glamour matches - would be a start.

And for the supporters who do a lot of away games. The club should introduce prioritising to the ones who attend the most away games.

Most games are all ticket.

At the beginning of the season, the club just needs to announce. "Keep your away match tickets we will give priority to those who attended most games.....when demand will outstrip supply" etc

My point is the vast majority of those AMS members go once in a lifetime and although members could not be classed as regular away supporters as indeed a great number of people are probably somewhere in the region of 2000. Why should they have prioirty of tickets because they have joined the club as a one off.

For me, it's got to be the most regular away travellers that get priority - they are the ones who make the effort & meet the expense of getting to the further-flung away games. I am a season ticket holder, and long have been, but would be satisfied if my ticket for Spurs went to someone who'd been to more away games than me.

It may be a tad repetitive discussing this issue, but it's not going to go away - the club need to deal with it, or they'll end up with a lot of disenchanted fans, largely people who put a lot into supporting the club. They can't afford to lose thse sort of people.

Unfortunately and I am not passing a judgement on this but if we had 30,000 regular away supporters we would earn the same GATE money as we would with 5 = Nothing.

The big Five MAN U, ARSENAL, LIVERPOOL SPURS and NEWCASTLE sorted that out a few years ago when we used to get a % of the gate money but they objected and had it changed.

Spurs is an away fixture therefore away members should have priority.

same as a home fixture would of seen priority for STH's to claim there seat.

are you telling me that if it was at home then the STH's would gladly go in to a ballot for all 6000 seats? no

STH means you get a seat for every home game away games are not connected at all,

and i have 3 tickets in th £30 seats 1 for me and 2 for friends who go occasionally ha ha ha what a day we'll have.

As I have 3 seasons and have been to about 8 away games this season already. I think I count on both counts and as we have our Wolves, QPR and Spurs tickets we're sorted.:bounce:

A lot of us count as both.

In recent days I've spoken about Brightons ticket policy (?) to friends who are Regular supporters at Manchester City, Bury, Chetenham and Cardiff. They are astounded that Season ticket holders do not get priority for tickets where demand is likely to outstrip suply. This debate has been done to death, but quite simply season ticket holders (even more so in Brightons case) are the lifeblood of many clubs due to them stumping up large amounts pre season. To my knowledge, most clubs ALWAYS give their season ticket holders priority. Still, Brighton have't been a "normal" club for many years have they? A voucher or points system could be introduced for regular away travellers so they could get a fair crack after season ticket holders. The arguement that those who pay on the gate won't get counted is bollocks. How many games are pay on the gate these days?

I know many season ticket holders who've missed out on Spurs tickets. The club are playing a dangerous game by pissing off their rank and file......

The number of season ticket holders will also outstrip supply.

After season ticket holders?

Why should someone who has been to every away game be behind a season ticket holder who has not been to any away games?
