Brighton factually.....
Not a season ticket holder, but going with my daughter, we just got back from Guernsey after a two week break, so no hassles or worries about getting Covid before holidays now. Anyway the last time we went was Palace, back in Feb 2020 !!!

Can’t wait, no beer, walk there, bus back, get smashed later in the evening if we get three points probably…

Job done.

I'm deffo going and can't wait. It occurs to me that If someone can't go because they missed getting a parking space, but have a ST and could go if there was a way to get there, and live somewhere between Faversham and the Amex (I will post my route later) and is double jabbed and would like a lift, PM me.

Edit this is roughly my route

My kids tested positive on Monday (Think from fairground rides at Wilderness Festival) and i'll be a bit annoyed to catch it from them and miss this - Test Test Test..

(Kids are 15+13, no signs, and actually quite happy to be bedroom and computor/xbox bound..)

If you’re a season ticket holder, you’d be nuts not too after all this time!

I am currently a season ticket holder but won't be going and don't consider myself to be nuts, indeed quite the opposite in fact. My wife has no immune system and has not developed antibodies from the two jabs , found that out after agreeing the season ticket and with the rates of COVID in Brighton I would be an absolute nut to attend.

I think a fair number of people who have had chemo are similarly positioned , we found out about lack of immunity as she is being actively monitored.

I am ST.

also a small business owner.

spent the last x months worrying and planing around covid,

it’s not just about considering my health / risk issues.

It’s about what happens work wise if I got it

So, i’d be ill, cant work

what about how the business functions?
junior new manager, probably struggles like f##k trying to cover = bloody unfair on him
new sales head, ditto
existing customers suffering inevitable service issues ….

etc, etc…

it’s just not that clear cut is it …

Bit of perspective right there, and big slap down, football is not as important as yours and your loved ones health.
Best of luck to you & your better half Mr Ward’s twin.

I'll be there, though weighing up my options on travel. I really, REALLY don't fancy the scrum and crush on the trains, particularly post-match.

Whats the non-P&R bus situation like ? A 25 would get me back to Churchill Sq or Portslade if I stay on, and going by the B&H Bus website it runs from the stadium at Village Way (although a walk along to the top of Lewes Road wouldn't overly bother me). Been wondering about this all week.

Supposed to be going to Barbados on holiday 7 days later ( delayed from April 2020) so dont want to risk contracting CV19

Don’t blame you. Lovely to have a special holiday after such a long stint working.

There’ll be many unvax’d teens/20’s at the game, Covid numbers are high in Brighton and Hove at the moment in that bracket, as we ease towards mass immunity.

Wouldn't miss it.

First live football match since Feb 2020.

Excited.

Yes definitely going, haven’t been to the Amex since the Palace home game last year :annoyed: not a great memory of the last game.

I did try to reply to the pm you sent but your inbox is full apparently.

All 25s terminate at the Steine now. But if you want to walk a bit further, you go into 'Scoomb and pick up a 49 and that will take you to Portslade. I imagine the 49s won't be quite as chocker as the 25s either, so may be more relaxed.

It’s a statistically significant sample size id wager. Sure not all Albion fans are like all of us weirdos here but you get my drift!

The first NSC wave 25 years ago was computer geeks and university/finance sector types. The second (porn serfing desk bot) wave was put off by the first wave, and lots just lurked, blurted occasionally, and got banned or left, bored with the woke lefty types (like me) who post so vehemently. Most of NSC posters are over 50s internet users of 20 plus years standing, plus some intrepid open minded others who learned to engage. There are very few under 35s on here and we don't represent the BHA fanbase whatsoever in my opinion, albeit within our tent are most of the active engaged contingent of the fanbase, so the rest, frankly, can do one
