The danger now is that you can watch every game on certain boxes etc on your TV on your Sofa and COVID Safe with no hassles of waiting to show a pass to get in, a crowded train and also currently a terrible atmosphere in the ground, with a couple of cans from Tesco's which will be half the price of The Amex.
You can cherry pick your Saturday 3.00pm home games if you fancy it and pay £20.00 to join Albion plus and if you fancy a few away games, as most now go down to that level and the majority of away games are at decent times so you can have a jolly on the train etc with your mates.

That's what quite a few on here will be thinking now and I'm one of them.

Very true, that’s my aim. Jacking the ST, then:

- Go to 3pm Saturday games, buying on a match by match basis, if I fancy the game eg an evenly matched fixture.

- Watching the rest in the warm from the sofa. Just a couple of hours utilised.

The long BCD shutdown whet my appetite for doing just that.

No wonder some of us are referred to as “customers” rather than “fans”

I buy tickets on the exchange. I don't ever know until a match comes around whether I have spare cash to afford it. As there's a minimum of 2 of us, the single tickets dotted around in the stadium are of no use until the exchange opens. That comes at an extra cost because I have to pay adult price for an u18 though. To make it worth us becoming a MyAlbion+ members, I'd have to know in advance that 2 season ticket holders with seats together are not going to be able to attend 2 matches. Or that's how it seemed to me at the start of the season. I'd happily pay the sharers the £20/£40 cost to them involved, as well buy them a pint but I'm not going to sign up to MyAlbion+ on the off chance that someone has 2 spare tickets during the season.
Re. the Boxing Day match, there would have been a high chance that I would've bought tickets on the exchange, on the day. It's not going to happen if my only option to get home is to wait ages and pay a fortune for a cab. I'd walk for a 3pm or 5.30pm ko but there's no way I'm walking back home at 10pm.

If the club punish ST holders for choosing not gather with over 30,000 people during a pandemic week in week out they have lost the plot.

Especially as I've never once seen anyone have their LFT checked and hardly anyone wears a mask.

Add to the fact we have one of the most remote stadiums in the league, meaning a lot of fans have to cram onto trains and busses to make the game.

The very fact this is even being discussed tells you all you need to know,,,,,

Is it still proposed that STH's must attend (six or seven?) home games this season in person or lose their ticket next season ? If so I can see a mass flounce on the horizon . :flounce::flounce::flounce::flounce::flounce::flounce:

Ah those were the days when we had a waiting list for season ticket holders. Reckon that one will be quietly parked and never mentioned again

This is a good point being made. I know of someone that's not attended a single home match on a season ticket because they have been unwell self isolating etc . If there isn't a waiting list then the insistence on attending at least 6 i believe it is home games on a season ticket makes even less sense. I doubt anyone buys a season ticket with no intention of attending matches after all they aren't exactly cheap!

It would be helpful if anyone form the club reads this forum to get official confirmation re these 6 matches that must be attended to retain your season ticket.

Why would anyone contact the club to remind them they / a group of fans have broken the T&Cs and ask if they’ll be held to it ?

The downside is the lose their seat and rejoin whatever waiting list there is

The upside - say nothing and see what happens

Worst case - you lose it anyway [emoji2375]

I am convinced some try to get a reaction from the club just so they can moan

Unless Barber plays hardball. Forcing out all the low attendance STH’ers.

Hoping to replace them with much higher spend-per-game match ticket sales.

Doubt that, no ST waiting list and we all received mails asking if any of our mates wanted a ST

Have the club actually said they will cancel all STHs who fail to attend x amount of games or have they said they will deal on a case by case basis?

No nothing has ever been communicated. By the T&Cs say the club reserve the right

3.8. The Club reserves the right to refuse to let you renew your Season Ticket (or cancel your auto-renewal), in the event the Season Ticket is used by the Season Ticket Holder for less than 25% of the Matche

Not that I’ve seen. I’d be staggered if the club invoked this during the pandemic. There have been some crass, stupid policies and decisions made but this would be a step way too far.

I have no inside knowledge, but the club are acutely aware of the concerns many have had, and still have, with regard to attending games this season, so I'd be very surprised if a fan-friendly approach is not taken on this.

Talking of inside knowledge, I did have a long chat with the club about the season ticket sharing scheme this evening, and they were kind enough to share some internal documentation and metrics with me, and are also happy for me to share as little or as much as I care to with the community here. The evening has run away with me a bit, so it will have to wait until tomorrow morning, but I'll put something up as quickly as I can.
