Seagulls, peck me all to bits if you will, but you were outclassed tonight.

Wrexham were far and away the better team on the night; more determined, better skill, better everything.

Sometimes it may take an outsider to say it as it is: Brighton and Hove Albion were utter, utter pants tonight.

.. but for the luck of a pen-shoot out.

Honestly, I thought the lads in Red were the Championship team..

Wrexham were a better side than Bristol City, who we beat twice and you lost to twice...

Bit of a stupid quote about couldnt give a f*** because pay cheque has cleared , when you have Harding and Hammond in your team .

Your point? They both play their hearts out for the Saints. Every game.

Tonight it looked as though the men in the stripey green shirts could not have cared less. Be honest. Did it look otherwise to you?

I'm intrigued why you felt the need to start your own thread on the subject. "Sometimes it may take an outsider to say it as it is"? If you just move your eyes down a few centimetres, you'll see numerous threads, started by Albion fans, saying exactly what you just wrote. Perhaps you thought your thoughts on the subject were so uniquely profound, they could only be served by having their very own thread, where the users of NSC could see your name and marvel at your perceptiveness and wisdom? Perhaps your attention span is so poor you couldn't get that far without your own sense of importance bursting out. Is it that you're you just lazy and attention seeking?

Or perhaps you just wanted everyone to see a Saints fan gloating...somewhat unsuccessfully, given that in spite of our inept performance, we're heading home with the fifth round and a tie against Newcastle in the bag. Even if we'd lost it'd have been forgotten as quickly as the defeat by....by....who was it that Crawley beat last season? We were shit, we won, move on.

I wanted to be entertained...............That is what the Challenge Cup is all about.

I wanted to be entertained too, but alas. Then I remembered last season when we were pretty ropey against Woking, who were also non-league opposition. As it turned out we had a pretty good season in the end, we won the league! Can't remember for the life of me which shower of sh*te came second, though. Any ideas, HoveSaint?

I don't know what Harding was playing out of at the Amex, but it didn't look like his heart, and it certainly wasn't his skin :lolol:

To be honest, seeing as you've evidently failed to notice an entire evening's worth of posts saying how crap we played, I thought if I wrote my thoughts down in a single paragraph, you'd have switched off before the end and started something else.

Yawn. And? What was the score at our place?

You were pants tonight. A disgrace to the football league

What was the score at your place against Bristol City? And at Ashton Gate? Against that crappy team who we've just completed the double over.

You see, here it goes again. You lot should have stopped crowing about winning div 3 a long time ago. Now it just sounds silly! New season, new crowing! And we are having a pretty good season so far. Would you not say?

Yawn. Top of the league.

Back to tonight's game, did you think BHA played well?

Top of the league for now.

And as all Brighton fans will concede and have done on this forum already tonight, no we didn't play well. However, winning when playing badly is a sign of a good team so we'll take the win and look forward to a big game at Peterborough at the weekend where hopefully we'll pick up another win and stay unbeaten in 2012.

And there was us all thinking we were brilliant.

Seriously, what is your point?

The only reason I can think of that this tedious little turd deems his insights to be worth bringing to the table here is that being able to admit that you didn't play very well is so alien to Southampton's head up their arse/arrogant/North Korea-appoints-the-Iraqi-information-minister-as-press-officer mindset. Bunch of weirdos.

What's the point of this thread exactly ?

Just a cursory glance at other threads on here tonight would tell you that no one would disagree with you. You'd also notice the praise that's been heaped on Wrexham too.

So again, what's your point ?

Oh shushh.

You call that 'winning'.

And stop this nonsense about being 'Champions'. For your own sakes. Why keep singing stupid songs about finishing top of div 3? Meaningless.

...Especially when a conference side showed you how to play football... ;

Still champions and We showed you how to play football when we dicked you 3-0! Run along!

If saints had won on pens against Wrexham like us you can bet your bottom dollar Adkins would have said..'we ground out a result to win and that's the only thing that matters!'
