Nothing cringey about that article at all. No real content of any note either, mind.

Just a short press piece to keep the wolf from the door a few days longer - and to highlight the fact we've sold a shedload of STs.

Actually we, as fans, have done a lot more for our club, than others have done for theirs... perhaps Gus understands this, and chose to recognise it?

As has been said, there really is no need for too hard a sell on the remaining season tix... I am sure they will sell with or without a push from Gus... if he wants to make sure, the best way would be to announce the signing of a high calibre striker! <- note use of the exclamation mark as a 'marketing ploy' :)

I've now got the exact same message not once but twice in emails from the club.

Rather than buying (more) season tickets to avoid disappointment, I might buy some to stop them nagging me every time I see either the club site, club emails, club FB statues or club tweets.

The future is certainly looking bright. We just need to get the final three pieces of the jig-saw in place now - a left back, attacking midfielder and, most importantly, a striker... and soon.

Why soon? You know when the season starts yeah? And how it works regarding agents and deals etc.

"We have the tenth highest number of season ticket holders in English football, which shows that the Albion is a massive club."

Is there a table somewhere? Tenth sounds great, who are above us? Where are Palace in that table?

Cynical I am, just wondered if this was the sort of 'Press Release' to be expected to take minds off the lack of action in the transfer market ?

Not really a fair test though as most clubs is still pay on the day and have dont have the ST culture we had at Withdean,

Best to weigh up average attendances

This Club that went through meagre years, is rising fast and is proudly publicising the fact to all (not just the NSC users who monitored s/t sales).

I love it.

So if a few of the best fans in the country voice their disapproval of Gus's tika-taka next season, does this mean that he won't simply "go hom" ?

Just asking, like.

Am I being cynical when I suggest the club has put the words into Gus' mouth for that piece, in order to try and sell the last few ST's?!
Exactly what I thought when I got this as an email earlier on (as I was on the waiting list but in the end couldn't afford a season ticket and have received other such encouragements since - not that I mind).
