What if you're elderly or disabled and can't cope with the scrum on the trains or No.25 bus ? You have no choice but to use Seagulls Travel who have a monopoly and are now abusing it

I see, as my Dad who is 80 and uses this service for these reasons, that there's a new £10 discount for over 65s this year.

Hopefully beer prices will go up by a couple of quid a pint and pies up by a quid or two if price increases aren't important then

The food and drink cost for myself and son is £15/20 per game for afternoon games - £10 for evening games. If my season long bill increases by £11 I'll be delighted.

Fair point. I know some elderly people who use the service for this very reason.

Sounds like old person prices have come down, and the rest are paying for that.

£11 a year, meh! Less than my bus tickets used to change by each year totalled up when working in UK. Just one of those things. Wonder if your pay at work will go up by £11 or more this year too? I remember when Mars bars were 25p.

If you are spending £15 a match on food and drink and they put it up by 30% then it's an extra £80. How about putting ST prices up by 30% at the same time, after all it's supply and demand and you don't have to pay it?

However people on here spin it, a 30% increase IS a disgrace.

Assuming Seagull Travel season ticket prices are reviewed at a similar time to those for the football itself (early in the calendar year), the cost of Diesel alone has risen considerably over the past 12 months:

Jan 2016 2017
102.8 121.1 (+18%)

Feb 2016 2017
101.1 122.3 (+21%)

Mar 2016 2017
103.2 121.3 (+18%)

So, that alone has increased considerably.

That is of course assuming coach prices went down as fuel costs went down comparing 2015 to 2016

Totally agree, some look at it as a single issue. The problem is that everything around us increases and unfortunately pay rises don't. When was the last time anyone had a pay rise of 30%. I

Well, that assumes prices remaining stable over a longer period, as we know they tend to creep up anyway. I take your point though.

That's funny as there was an OAP discount this season and last season

In the product description it says:
** NEW FOR 2017/2018 Season - Introduction of an OAP Rate (Just for travel season ticket holders) **

I don't think there was. Maybe on season tickets but certainly not on one off tickets. I only use ST for evening games as getting back to St Leonard's on the rattler afterwards is a hassle. Saturday games the train is fine as I stay behind for a beer or two but you cant do that with the coach

EDIT:Just seen Jem's post above, looks like no old farts price for me next season.

This season my ticket was £135.00 for 23 home games. Next season it is now £146.00 for 19 games. This works out at 30% rise so how can this be justified?
I would imagine that if we go down the following season it would again be increased as we would have more matches. Views please.

Haven't read all the posts but surely from Shoreham the train would be better. Price included in ST.
