In the shadow of Seaford Head
Just had a Seaford Tory flyer through my letterbox. It says

" Many have watched in disbelief as the Liberal Democrats attempted to stop Brighton & Hove Albion's new football ground at Falmer.
Even now after years of wrangling, it is still unknown whether the club will get permission to build the new stadium it needs.
Conservatives will seek to work constructively with the Seagulls to try and sort out the mess created by the Lib Dems"

Hmmm, pro-Falmer or pro-stadium indeed?

I remember that Tory guy at the demo on the seafront used the same phrase too!

Never trust a politician, whatever their allegiance.

I'm going to vote Tory in Valley ward (Ned is standing in Meeching & Denton ward) to oust the Lib Dems.

Which is interesting given Martin Perry's comments on Lewes Conservatives on the club website:

"Conservatives
Hidden behind the Lib Dems. Have made no public statements on their position, but have sided with the Lib Dems in council votes."

Neither here nor there
Sheer political opportunism from lying Tories. Why fall for it?

According to the stuff they posted through my door, they're also ANTI the Newhaven incinerator. Which they voted for.

But that's the point - it ISN'T the old boss. It's not a question of "we won't get fooled again", anybody who votes Tory knows they're not going to end up with a Council who are unequivocally pro-stadium - but we could (should) end up with a council who don't want to waste any more money fighting it. They may not of course but then we'll be no worse off will we? Plus it will wipe the smile of the faces of the two EVIL witches and as I said on another thread that's well worth a Tory vote.

Anyway I think this is about the third current thread where I've urged people in Lewes to vote Tory and it's making me queasy. Please don't make me do it again!

For real?

For a guy who is about my age, and who grew up with The Fall and the Smiths I find that very surprising.
