Im going just for the hell of it and the players REALLY need our support. You never know we might even win, you've got to experience the really shit times (last sunday) to appreciate the good:clap2:

Absolutely not going. I'm not even using my season ticket at Withdean these days! Such fixtures remind me of the early/mid 90's. Awkward to get to, hardly glam, you know we can't even get a draw but you're younger, have spare cash and it's more about getting pissed with your mates. I did it then, sadly life has other meanings as you get older. Over to the Albion class of 06 to follow the team on hapless away crusades! Enjoy if that's a word that can be used on this thread - we salute you, all that are going!

I will save the £100 that it costs for an away match, as none of that money goes to BHA anyway.

I am sure that at one time the away team got a % of the gate money but I think Man Utd and Arsenal put paid to that by a change of rule and enlisting the help of the major clubs to support it. I think the away club now get a set fee for expenses. I am sure that somebody will know for certain.

The town is an absolute toilet. The ground is an uninspiring tin shack. Their lot are flying. Our lot are in freefall. It takes f***ing hours to get there.

Tempting.

What part of Scunthorpe have you been to then? From my time spent there I have found it to be quite a nice town. I have seen a lot worse in my away travels over the years. Chesterfield springs to mind as an absoloute toilet not Scunthorpe.

Already booked train tickets for the next 5 away games at Scunthorpe, Huddersfield, Bradford and Doncaster and a weekend in Manchester for Oldham (going to see the Pogues and the Saw Doctors on the Saturday night).

Seamed like a good idea to get them booked up nice and early to get the cheapest prices

:shootself

Scunthorpe reasons for going

1) Already booked train tickets
2) We cant continue to lose (can we?)
3) ............help cant think of anymore!

Anyway roll on Scunthorpe on Saturday, cant wait, looking forward to revisting possibly the most boring place in the UK, and the pubs arent much better!

We should be visting the Bird in the Barley in Messingham, in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide and does good food so I'm told.

Train ticket booked, so will head north, have found some alternative games;

Droylsden v Skelmersdale Utd, 15:00
Guiseley v Newcastle B'field B.P., 15:00
Trafford v Harrogate Town, 15:00
Halifax v Tamworth, 15:00
Worksop v Hyde, 15:00

Based on recent experience, one of us is bound to end up in one of those towns...probably sometime after mid-night.

Voting with my feet hear and not bothering now - the statistics look like we will get mullered (as if we could lose by many more than we do at present).

Not wasting a day or the money for this pathetic shambles of alleged football we are currently playing.

Oh dear! :lolol:
