If the Stone Tape (by Terry Nation) comes on the TV again, it is worth watching.

And that bit with Danny Glick hovering outside the window, scraping it with his fingernails.

"C'mon, let me in...let me in..."

*shudder*

For me THE scariest bit in THE scariest film of all time. Crapped me knickers everytime I went to bed for a long, long time after seeing Salem's Lot.

There was a TV movie we watched in English class at school called Woman In Black (it's also a book/play etc).. not THAT scary until for no apparent reason this 'woman in black' floats in through a window unannounced!.. Scared the bejesus out of us at school....!

Agree with The Ring and The Shining, but scariest music in a horror film is Halloween by a long way, as the pumpkin gets bigger but you don't notice till it's on top of you *shudders*. Honrable mentions must go to Night Of The Living Dead, and Psycho, still gets me now, just a shame that the twists so well known now.

I was about to post the exact same thing. Completely agree, I believe that is the only film/character that has actually scared me properly in my entire life.
