Truly amazing. He misses a one on one against Plymouth, scores a 96 minute winner, and suddenly he's been written off.

FFS, he missed half of last season through injury, and we've only seen him once at Withdean. Jeez, chill out folks!

Yea true !!! You can't write a player off after one small plunder !
If Messi missed a one on one which he probably has he wasn't written off he turned out to be the worlds greatest footy player !!!
I am not saying that sandaza is a messi ... I am just saying wait and see and if he turns out to be shit (which I don't think) well it does not matter as he was free and if he turns out to be a very good player (this is what I think)Well be happy and cheer him on !!!:clap2:

Exactly, I wonder how many people would be happy being judged by their first day at work! Crazy

A bit of balanced objectivity is needed here.

Just because Sendaza scored a winning goal in the 96th from close range doesn't make him a brilliant striker. I wonder if people would be so upbeat about him if we'd been 3-0 down and that same goal was merely a consolation?

Equally, had he put that shot over the bar, there would be some saying he is rubbish. That's also nonsense.

He has played very little so far and from what we have seen he could be anything between the two extremes of brilliant and rubbish.

Let's wait and see, shall we?

And on the basis that Greer has to bide his time because others are playing well, how can anyone suggest that Sendaza comes in for Murray? At best it would be a huge gamble based on little or no evidence and at worst a dreadful mistake.

So far, Murray has done nothing to deserve being dropped and Sendaza has done nothing to warrant taking his place.

Steady on folks.

He didnt win a thing in the air when he came on yesterday, even though he is a big bloke.

His first touch wasn't all that and he's not quick.

Murray has an extra yard of pace since last year and is as good in the air as
anyone on Div 1.

Trust me Sandeza will turn out to be one of those buys.

We hate Palace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hype ? Hardly......he scored a close range effort. Gus has already said that he's not the quickest, slowest, best or worse. Hardly inspirational , and hype is one word that i wouldnt have used for our new frontman !!!

In fairness, I don't think anyone was going over the top. The original poster started slagging off Sandaza for no particular reason other than the fact apparently he reads players well and felt the need to share his views with us. Nobody was getting carried away with the performance on Saturday and actually I thought he had a limited impact before his goal. However, writing him off so early is just ridiculous.

3-0 one evening with a hat-trick from Malcolm.

One of the best away games I ever went to.

Thanks for reminding me:thumbsup:

I agree with all of that - but there were some posts on the ratings thread about dropping Murray for Sandaza which is, of course, ridiculous!

You're the ONLY person on the entire site that has attached the word "brilliant" to him! People are happy because he scored in the last minute and we went top of the league. Show me where people are referring to him as brilliant.

Stop looking for negatives where there are none to be had! That's not aimed specifically at you, just anyone who can be anything other than utterly delighted with what's happening at the Albion at the moment.

I'm sorry, it wasn't meant to be a negative at all. As I said, I was trying to give a balanced view. I was giving extreme descriptions of him and suggesting that he could be anywhere in between. I didn't say that anyone had actually said he was 'brilliant'. However, some of the posts on Saturday were, in my opinion, OTT about him with suggestions that he should replace Murray.

I thought I had given a reasoned view but I obviously didn't word my post very well.

I am totally positive about our current situation and the way the team is playing - and there was no-one more delighted than me when he scored!

I apologise again.
