I'm happy to give Sandaza a chance but I'm not sure we should be using first team games to get him fit. This decision nearly backfired last night. The improvement in our game when Murray came on was very, very apparent.

think he needs to play with Murray. Barnes and Sandaza are to similar and try and get in the same positions. Very harsh to drop Barnes as he works well with Murray

Sandaza should not have STARTED last night... Gus' mistake... on the evidence so far, it's back on the sub's bench for him for the Tranmere game...

agree with this. he would have been effective coming off the bench when the game had opened up. he struggled to break through when brentford were crowding the final 3rd.

What is wrong with some of you!? We knew Sandaza is not going to be the best technical player, Gus clearly stated that. He is an out and out poacher. Everytime the ball went in or around the box last night, look where Sandaza was... Right where you would want someone. Unfortunaltly for him, we were not creating the right chances, which is why Gus took him off. I am confident he will score plenty of goals this season.

How can you say Gus made a mistake? We WON! Had Murray started instead of him, for all you know, the game could have been completly different and we may not have taken the points. Buy leaving Murray on the bench, it gave Murray a point to prove when he came on.

Gus was once again, spot on.

Over-defensive... chill... Gus is human you know... yes, we won, but it was touch and go...

For those at the game last night...........

told yer so!!!!!!!!!!!

I realise you are probably on some sort of hilarious wind up but it is pathetic. We win again and all you can do is gloat because a player you wrote off after two games didn't have a good game in his third match for us. Nobody on this thread has guaranteed that Sandaza will be great for us but to write him off is ludicrous. Why can't we all just support our players and enjoy being top of the league?

I agree. Of course I won't write him off but he was poor last night IMO.

Not a wind up just expressing an opinion.

Isn't that the beauty of football?

Sadly there are one or two on here who wont accept anyone else's opinion or agree to differ.

Probably described as self righteous.

I'm not writing him off, I'll give him 15 games before I decide how good he really is. But there were a few balls that went into the box that I thought he would be in the position for but wasn't close. He's still a hero after saturday mind

Yes I agree that everyone is entitled to their opinion and nobody is disagreeing that he wasn't great last night. However, writing him off after only a couple of games and saying he won't make it is very different to that and then coming on and gloating when he has a bad game is even worst. You may well be right in the end but that is not the point.

Sandaza has admitted he is not at the same level of fitness as the rest of the players so lets give hima chance. For what it is worth I think that he is an imprpovement on the previous strikers sitting on the bench.

My concern is that Murray is out of contract at the end of season and hope the club offer him another one soon so as not to lose him for nothing in May or even sell him, unless for good money in January.
