........and Senegal won't be going to AFCON too?

They are going but no guarantees Sima will be.

His appearance on the bench against Cameroon last month was his first involvement in international football for two and a half years. He’s not got much time to play himself into contention for the squad and the AFCON. If he gets into the squad for their WC qualifiers later this month then he’s got a good chance of going.

Yes, but his career went pretty quiet after he joined us, until now - but now he is playing regularly, scoring goals, getting attention and playing in the Europa League I'd say he's done his international prospects a power of good!

Hes certainly not doing his chances any harm but its very difficult to force yourself into contention right at the end of qualifying campaign and just before a tournement starts. Especially when hes competing for squad places with the likes of Ismaïla Sarr, Sadio Mane and that carthorse Chelsea paid a lot of money for. Hopefully he makes it as it would be a massive turn around following torrid times at Stoke and Angers on loan.

He played in both legs of the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations 3rd round tie against Mali back in March.
