I've got a quality night lined up. A few post footy jars...some pub grub then an intimate Mark E Smith gig in The West Hill Community Hall in Brighton. Venue only holds 130 apparently. Mr Smith is 'singing' while his mate plays guitar. Every The Fall gig I've been to have been utter chaos so this should be an interesting night at the very least.

I'll have either cemented our relationship forever......or I'll be back on the market.

As a veteran of scores of Fall gigs over the years, I'd have to say that this one DOES sound bloody grim :lolol:

I only possess about 2 Fall long players and I never play his stuff at home but I'm strangely attracting to his live performances..and they are performances in every sense. His recent autobiography is top draw humour. Not read it myself but the missus has read me chunks. His observations on life are pure gold. The section about his house having just three chairs is very funny: one for him, one for the lady and one for a guess.

I am poor tragically. The extra £35 a night was more than I could afford.

Either that, or I just like beer too much £105 buys a lot of beer!

How much is the Mrs worth. The race course view rooms are a bit pricey but well worth the price. Enjoy your weekend anyway. I love York

Sports sports sports!
i can see why you're single

Who says I am? I just don't see the point in Valentine's day.
You spend so much money buying flowers/chocolates/going away/going out for a meal, but to be honest it's just another day of the year.

If you guys are only able to show you're significant others that you love them on one day of the year anyway, then what's the bloody point, you may as well just ignore them.

I see your point. I don't bother with all this valentines day shit. I love my Mrs everyday not just the one. Anyway I always thought it was all supposed to be anonymous

I shall be up early to pick a decent selection of flowers from the cemetery.
Then arrange them in a nice vase on the kitchen window so she can look at them whilst washing up.
