Yeah just to add my take, its definitely the origins of a spear tackle, but I think for it to really be a nasty one you've got to actually follow through and dump them rather than drop them - although it is still you responsibility to not put them on their head.

Let's not forget that the IRB decided all those years back that Tana Umaga had no case to answer for the very blatant spear on BO'D.
