This is a potential disaster scenario.

Putin gets Krasnov to attack Canada causing "civil war" in NATO.

The perfect time to invade Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Poland have it right in arming to the teeth.

It is the disaster scenario but I can’t see either the US military nor the average citizen standing for it.

Secondly Russia just doesn’t have the military ability to finish the job in Ukraine let alone start on anyone else.

Silly old bat
The long arm of Ukraine strikes again………or, by coincidence, simply accidental
Talking of coincidences, the container ship that collided with a fuel tanker off the Humber/East Yorkshire coast, had a Russian captain.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of gross negligent manslaughter following Monday's collision, per Sky News.

The force added investigators have started a criminal probe into the cause of the collision between the Stena Immaculate and Solong off the coast of East Yorkshire on Monday, and are working with the Maritime and Coastguard Agency.

The tanker was operating as part of the US government's tanker security programme, a group of commercial vessels that can be contracted to carry fuel for the military when needed.

Whatever the future scenarios triggering war of some sort in Europe then, YES, Poland has their 5% (IIRC) correctly set - first job of government is to protect their people.

Thank you! That was the first thing that occurred to me then I dismissed it - astonishing, jail him. How do you feel about that,Trump?

Currently I'm 90% hybrid war action, 10% accident. With Russians, I assume guilt and a deliberate act, unless incompetence is proven. Innocence is never a valid option.

The - slight - doubt that I have is that the tanker that was broadsided at 16 knots, was contracted to transport jet fuel for the US military. The point being, it was for the US military and not the UK military. I assume the jet fuel was bound for US air bases in East Anglia.

A lucky - or unlucky - strike by the Russians?

Could equally be the (possibly vodka-induced) madness of a single angry Russian. Seems a very odd choice of hybrid warfare action, given it could be seen as a direct attack on US military logistics.

As was obviously going to happen. The question is whether Trump is stupid/compromised enough to think these demands are reasonable - Putin is de-facto claiming that Ukraine is occupying Russian territory in those four oblasts.

Pedantic I know but good to hear it referred to as a collision rather than a crash as the BBC have repeatedly called it!

Russian cargo ship crashing into a ship carrying jet fuel for the US military… nothing to see here
Exactly. Portuguese registered Cargo ship with a Russian captain at the controls, just so happens to collide with possibly the biggest and most easy to identify Ship in the North Sea, that just so happens to be the main jet fuel supply ship of the US military.

Pure coincidence.

What you can be sure of, is if it is in the 90% hybrid war action (and my money is it is), it would have been planned to look like 90% accident or have plausible deniability.

They often do things so you know its them, but cant truly prove intent
