Yep, well there's no excuse for them now. The reality is on the Internet and they get what they deserve for choosing the blood money.

From the report I read they thought they were signing up for a job, not the army. It was only after they arrived in Russia they were pressganged & forced to join the army. Also they tended to come from poorer rural areas. Totally exploited & abused by the Russians.

Germany has long had deeply entrenched Russian interests so definitely an element of that.

But many in Germany calling for stronger support, Scholz is the modern day Neville Chamberlain.
