I reckon that was Budanov and Ukraine military intelligence. They said a while ago that similar to Mossad, they'd hunt down and liquidate all those that have targeted Ukrainian civillians and will do so for as long as it takes.....

Bayraktar plant and a German Infantry fighting vehicles plant too, plus whilst South Korea won't directly supply weaponry (its pretty advanced stuff) they're happy to sell components and for others to assemble...... both Poles and Turks have ordered a massive amount of S.Koean tanks/IFV and howitzer type cannons and are assembling and transferring to Ukraine, all whilst Russia is rapidly running out of its soviet era 152mm Artillery.

They started with 13m have allegedly fired 10m and ability to replenish is curtailed with only 1 soviet era production factory with severely limited output.

It certainly seems that momentum is increasing in the supply of weapons, with practical workarounds where needed (e.g. South Korean weaponry)

Agree. Clearest evidence so far that Ukraine have special forces, or some sort of assassination squad working in Russia now.

Could be the Russians bumping their own off again, but more likely Ukraine

Turkey's actions are a big deal indeed.

Russia's two Baltic coastlines - St Petersburg and Kaliningrad are now in a NATO lake, and in order to go anywhere, Russia's Black Sea fleet have to negotiate the narrow Bosphorus strait in the middle of Istanbul.

A really interesting piece on Erdoğan, plus the thread replies (mainly from Turks). He's clearly a pragmatist. He's played it both ways since the start of the war...which has been infuriating to read. But if enough solid support for Ukraine (including a clearer path into NATO, and for Sweden; protection of grain ships; drone factory in Ukraine; Putin's nose out of joint; staging post for supply of Sth Korean weaponry to Ukraine etc etc) comes out of this 'pragmatist' stage, then that's great.
Even one reply on the thread doesn't think Erdoğan actually believes Turkey will be taken into the EU, and it's just short term politicking - I don't know enough about Turkish politics, but it's an interesting situation for sure.

When you think that's the direct opposite of what he set out to do.....

Then when you consider he has also carried out an illegal invasion, committed numerous war crimes, halved his nation's combat strength, lost over 200,000 of Russia's sons, failed to bring the bodies back to their mothers, alienated most of the world, trashed Russia's reputation for generations, weakened Russia's economy, had a rebellion and might have set the scene for the break up of the Russian Federation, you'd be forgiven for thinking that he gave it a good go, but in the end, came up a bit short.

I've read most of the Bellingcat article...and it's very detailed and determined journalism . I can't imagine any mainstream media doing that.

In my mind, I'm picturing a scene like the end of Godfather, or Casino, where lots of people are being dished out various violent comeuppances.

It's always been known that Ukraine would look to hit a general or similar in Ukraine using Himar's or Storm Shadow. But the knowledge that they can be hit in Russia with apparent use of assassination squads is a new development. And it shows Putin can't protect his own and if Putin can't protect them, why would they support him?
