Latvian State Radio and TV Center's optic cable damaged in Baltic Sea

The underwater optical cable of Latvia's State Radio and Television Center (LVRTC) was damaged in the Baltic Sea on Sunday morning, the center informed the LETA news agency. Estonia's politicians are in contact with their Latvian and Swedish counterparts.

I read last week (somewhere, yes ) that NATO has sent three ships to the Baltic to 'monitor'. It's quite an area though.

Still waiting for the Finns to tell us the results of their investigation.

I was watching the American Youtuber who runs the channel 'What the ship' for maritime shipping. He can pinpoint all the cables on the shipping charts, pinpoint all the traffic, and even measure their speed. He knows which ship cut the cables, and when. I assume the Nato ships will have all this data at their fingertips.

'Szijjártó said last week that Hungary would consult the Trump administration before deciding whether to agree to renew EU sanctions against Russia.'

So a relatively minor but highly obstructive member of the EU, wants to consult with the Trump administration, before Trump has met with Putin? Hmmm. It sounds that both Marco Rubio and the EU have got the measure of Hungary.

Russia has got its fingers in so, so many pies. I've no doubt that we still have more to learn on the true extent of it.

I guess they could but doubt they will. They'll hope Hungary will pivot back to being more solid EU at some point - "keep your enemies closer" someone said.
